My sources, can't believe I have friends who are cops, tell me that 420 is slang picked up for the law enforcements term/code # for possession of pot. Who'd of thought.

Went to the Eagles concert in Sac a couple of weeks ago. Second encore some kid in his early twenties lights up a joint behind us 40 plusers and within a few minutes security was all over the place like he was shooting off fireworks or something. Its sad times when you can't even get high at a concert.

I do believe that one version of the story is that it was originally a Santa Cruz PD designation. Another version is that 4:20pm was the time some group of high school kids would get together to light up. Whatever the origin, 4:20pm has become "smokers' time". If you light up at 4:20pm, you're lighting up at the same time as smokers all over your time zone. It a comradeship thing. And April 20th is the "Hash Bash" Cannabis legalization rally in Ann Arbor, MI. I remember being at this mexican restaurant when the crew from High Times got seated. They were all smiling.

A couple of years ago, a few friends & I were at the San Jose Event Center for <Devil-horn salute> Black Sabbath </Devil-horn salute> . But this was before the RAVE Act was passed. Now the venue owners can get busted as accessories if they knowingly allow drug use. Ah, life in <fascist>John Ashcroft's</fascist> America.
