it's friiiiiiiday night and this is how we do it!!!

yeah, no party at bugga's tonight! the rest of the household is asleep already and it's not even late yet! i've got beers in the fridge and no one to drink it with! wanna sing loud music and shake some serious booooootay............... but i guess i'll just sit here and surf around on the internet instead. *sigh*

(this is how we do it! it's friday night, and i feel alright! party's here on the west siiiiiiiiiiiide!)
^^^^^^ that is me singing loudly in my head. obnoxiously. it's supposed to be montell williams or whatever his name was. i haven't even heard that song in ages. though i saw him in concert once when i was younger. with boyz II men. haha. oh well. does typing to nobody on the internet constitute as talking to yourself?!?! uh oh... somebody get me committed! lol

oh my.....

erc25, that's what I had at the Penang restaurant--the black sticky rice dessert :) Twas good, twas very very good!

bugga, you crazy woman! You need to be committed all right--to a more partying household!

Had my birthday party in a club last night.....gotta say I had a brilliant time and got roaringly drunk! Spent nearly 2 hours outside the club making sure everyone got in alright, but once I was inside it was worth it! If I'd know bugga was so free I would have invited her too ;)

Sounds like a good birthday celebration, AFM :)

bugga, you could always swing by London and have a catch-up birthday party with AFM :) Just make sure he pays for your ticket. :D

It's one of those blasted HOT Sundays here when you feel like you're on fire from the inside, can't get enough cold drinks.

Played football today...was nice weather here in london town for once...

It's a public holiday weekend here, but I still have to work tomorrow :( Going out tonight for a friend's birthday......not really too up for it but he came to mine, so I gotta return the favour! He was partly responsible for getting me so drunk as well, so I'm gonna wipe him out tonight :D

you hear that AFM? we need to get together and shake some boootay! and you better bet my camera would be involved ; )

Anytime bugga, just say the word ;)

Yet another week of slow activity here....I wonder what's happened to Roman?

*bump*

hello asians???

la la al la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la............

Hello all,
How is everybody doing? Had a nice quiet memorial day weekend. Weather was gorgeous and I had a good time BBQ. wish everyone has a pleasant week.

Hello threadies, hi Gusty Pie pal :)

It's still hot and sunny here. I'm very ready for a thick, cooling rain.

What did you have at your BBQ, erc? Satay?

Mia, going to look for food now

Cool, a Gusty resto!

I'll have the stir fried green veggies (baby kailan?) and some tahu goreng and some of your world-famous fried rice!

I'm going to make "baby" food for dinner. Chicken with creamed corn, carrots and onions over rice. Not very Asian, I know

:rose: for Gusty Pie:rolleyes:

Hi mia,
Luckily I decided to took some pic on the grille. This is the second round. The first round was hotdog and steak, but I didn't take any pic on it.

It looks delicious. You're awfully neat. Even your leftovers are nicely arranged.

Hello Mia :) This is chicago, not LA. Kinda hard to find any ingredients for satay.... although I would looooove satay now. :)

Wondering what kind of fish you had, erc. I bet it tasted scrumptious.

I cheat with satay :D I just buy the packaged marinade mixes.

The fillet is cat fish. It is called tosat or ni qiu in chinese. The whole fish is trout. It is kinda hard to get fresh saltwater fish here. So I tried with fresh water fish. That fish was actually left for second day's dinner.
You haven't seen what is not shown on the pic yet. Chaorcoal, ashes and all the trashes in the bag :).

Here is another better look on the grill.

Second day's dinner :D I like that.

erc, do you know of the fish called mangu-mangu? We call it bangus in the Philippines. In English, it's milkfish.

You mean the catfish? It is pretty popular in Asia. Usually it was being used in curry. And it seems to have a strong mud taste. So I had to use bacon to wrap the fish.... it makes the fish tastes better.

No, not the catfish. Bangus is taken from the ocean and then raised in fresh water fish farms. Sweet tasting.

How did you learn to cook? :)
