Lil'lunar is now in high school! Lil'Pup as I think of her (and she does take after me in many ways) is over a year old now! We're up to three dogs too though the older cat passed away.

If one is from a non south area.. it dilutes it.. and then your children's accents may be further diluted..

You are more likely to hear an Ohio accent than a NC accent while about CLNC. If you travel north on Hwy 24, towards Swansboro, you'll still get a complete mixture of accents due to it being a "beach community" and people have retired here from all over. Really - there aren't that many "locals" here. This is a common occurence around all military bases.
Hope you enjoy your time here! We love it - and plan on retiring here also. (adding another Ohio accent and a Baltimore, MD accent)
