My characters weren't going for a hunt, so it doesn't bother me in the least.
I just got a little worried when we were taking up a few pages to talk about hunting... and then a few more pages to actually hunt. It just seemed like spending a couple of chapters to write how Keith went out to go get a tuna fish sandwhich.
I mean, there are ghouls and vampires and monsters to go slay, as soon as everyone is up for it.

Oh, I'm up to it, but then, I can't really do much to advance the plot. It isn't mine to advance. I figure, I'm mostly just here for the ride.

Either way the story is fun, once we get going..... We can always have a surprise attack of NPC's (the evil breeders never die!) for a pass time. A long flight is scheduled to be skipped forward as well. The hunting done, the flight will be blink of an eye just pretend it's fast forward... Unless people and planning on using the jet for the 'love boat'? lol

AB is just there to even out the numbers And I am glad someone agrees with me! A flight convo might prove to be really boring. Especially when Aria doesnt have many memories back and its not supposed to come fully yet, so that the case, there is little to discuss

Gm, you are the only guy I know who purposely makes your characters know everything about everything that is going on with your own characters, and nothing about anyone else.
If Vladimir knows about Mongrel, then he knows about the witch. It's ying and yang. If he's supposed to keep watch of all the little people's who have power, she had better damned well be known.

But reguardless, they are still going to France to TRY and see her. Perhaps a small battle ensues? Give us ring bearers something to do other than fashion clothes and day time tv hehe
A little hint won't be too hard would it? If they reach there towards the end of the old witch's assasination, perhaps one small clue would be permissible? They can't go around the globe guessing! Only Mongrel can see whats gonna happen so far, without leads we're running around like chicken's with our heads cut off mister

I didn't say Vlad knew Mongrel. When Vlad attacked the weird shack in the middle of no where, Mongrel (pooh) knew who Vlad was take that
secondly.. You've been here writing along with us in these threads.. You should know who these people are unless you didn't read Woven Rings as you went along.
Thirdly the old witch is just a woman who can see things, ESP or some stuff.. Again that was in Woven Rings.
The book, again was in Woven rings.. It is a book of spells that give a man god like powers. Once the book is whole and opened by someone, whomever opens it gets those god like powers. Catch 22 is the person has to have some magic knowledge. Again that was all explained in Woven rings GM.
The plot.. The ring bearers are like a 'god squad' of vampires. Ironic isnt it? Same plot as Woven Rings. Destroy the book, and if that can't be done, destroy the man who has the powers given to him. In this case that is Mongrel (unless the ending changes and suddenly Kat has the powers, then it could be Kat dead. example there)
Mongrel = very very very very (enough very's?) old wizard who gained an insurmountable ability with 'black magic'. Powerful all on his own, but even he is limited and aging. He is HUMAN (assumed his powers have kept him aging slower) He cooerced Merlyn (dead wizard) and Gwendolynn (another dead wizard) by terrorizing the lands and killing all known magic users he could find. His goal was total control, or just perhaps the ONLY wizard left alive. That is up to pooh his motives. Merlyn and Gwen put all their knowledge and spells into this book, curses were put upon it as well as guardian spells. The rings were but one of many 'locks' on the book. All this time Mongrel has been searching for this book, and yes Lance was there then as well as here now. So he knows about all of this and how to end it. Not many as old as him who were around then. (meaning right location to be 'in the know' of such things.)
Aria uncovered the rings. Not a big deal. Aria then uncovered the book. Big Mistake. Lance activated the rings to preserve life and stop the 'doom' of this book being used. Now we are where we are... hunting the book down before it is mended with the final page (which was in Woven rings) and if that isn't accomplished, finding Mongrel and killing him.. Even if it means everyone's life. Hence the final thread

I actually went back and looked at old Curse archives. What a nerd I am, huh? To go back and read shit that's four months old. I hardly even remember what happened four months ago.

Did we not go through four or five pm's to specifically get everything straightened out between Vladimir and his advance on power

You set how far you want your character to go, not me. You want him to know all about Mongrel, or nothing, then you say so. If you want to know all about the witch, or not, then you say so. He's your character GM, not mine. I don't know what in the hell Vlad knows, and I don't care at this point.
If you don't want me to screw with your characters, GM, just say so. I will never speak of them again. I'll put up a little sign, make a promise, swear some sort of oath to never utter another word, good or bad, about any of them. We can just go our own seperate ways on this, and I wouldn't mind in the least.
I'm not here to have you jump through my hoops. I am just setting up the field for you to play on. I admit I am taking over the plot. It's obvious. I had to, no one else would. We had no enemy, no evil guy. The only evil guy was Vladimir, who only wanted to take over the world so long as he wasn't preoccupied with fucking Erika.
Yeah, I took things over, when there wasn't anything to take over. I brought up a plot about a book, and a page, and a powerful spell, and special rings to unlock secret powers, and huge barbarian warriors and evil vampires races to battle. I made it all myself, and I'm proud of what I did so far. I think I've done a damned good job.
But, I'm not the only person in his thread. You all are a part of it, and saying that, you can all do whatever you want. You don't have to destroy Mongrel, you don't have to accept the ring, you don't even have to follow the plot. Hell, make up your own plot and do whatever you want. I'm not stopping you. At no point have I ever stopped anyone from doing whatever they wanted to do in this thread.
That's right. GM? You had both Vlad and Joseph on a deathquest for Mongrel's head, and did I ever stop you? Did I ever just say, NO, don't do that, go away? No, I wouldn't do that. I was waiting, actually. I was hoping you would bring Joseph up to Mongrel's house so they could play. I didn't post for Mongrel, cause I wanted him to be wherever you thought he might, so they could meet... but you turned tail at the last minute and ran for Aria instead.

Gm, you wrote that Vlad called me, asking what to do next, I wrote to Vlad to have him go kill an old witch in France. If you choose not to let your character have information on an old witch, or you choose not to know how to find such information, than that is up to you. You are a writer, you are a creator of this story. You went through countless pages of shit to write Joseph back into this thing, you are telling me you can't figure out enough to know that some old lady is wandering around a circus somewhere in France, or a street corner? Or a delicatesssen? Think! Create! Do whatever you want. Use magical leprachauns to find her, or talking horses with the power of flight Maybe Santa Claus can help? You can borrow his magic sleigh to check all of the houses for an old woman in France...
It seems like I gave you the same amount of information when you had to go find a ringbearer in New York. Mongrel said, "There are Ring bearers in New York. Go fetch." You went, and within a few days got contact with one. If you can't do it again, then you need even more help than I'm allowed to give you.
I'm not going to make it easy for you. I'm sorry if I said something that made you assume whatever you did would be easy. You are asking to be on the right hand side of someone who, a few weeks ago (game time) you told quite bluntly you wanted to kill. Vladimir came to Mongrel saying he was going to kill him (1) Vladimir destroyed a number of Mongrel's henchmen, including personal bodyguards (2) and Vladimir couldn't even bring back one single Ring bearer (3). That's 0 for 3, not a very good record in my book. If you hired someone, and they did three things wrong on their very first week of work, would you promote them to your personal assistant?
If you want to know any part of my plot, GM, then all you have to do is ask. You never got any information before, because you never asked me for any. I'll give anyone any amount of information about anything they want so far as I know. I'll give you Mongrel's plans, the location of the last page, what the spell actually is (we've been doing this for over a year and a half, and no one really knows what the spell is, do they? Hee hee, I do!) I'll tell you who the final Ring Bearer is, I'll even tell you where Corbin is (for those of you newer people, I'll even tell you WHO Corbin is).
I've never been secretive about any of this information. If anyone wants to know anything about what I'm doing, or going to do, just ask. I prefer Pm's though, because I could answer all of your questions here, but then everyone would know... and that would ruin it. Some people would rather have it be a mystery until the end.
I mean, come on, do you want to know how a movie ends? If you do, ask. If you don't... sit back and watch. I assure you it will be entertaining nonetheless.
I have a plan, but I'm leaving it open specifically so we can all create ideas and have fun. I have nothing set in stone, just ideas I keep floating around until the right time for them to arise. Nothing less, nothing more. If you want something less, ask, if you want something more... ask as well.
And don't ever Yell at Sweet P for minding her own business. This thread is her business. If there is one person who has been more adament and determind about this thread, or its problems than me, it has been her. She's had to endure more shit for this one story than I've had to do for all of my time here role playing on Lit. This is her baby, her creation. Whatever happens here, big or small, involves her.
She deserves your respect. You can spit in my eye and call me childish or whatever the hell you want, but don't you ever treat Sweet P with anything less than respect and devotion. She had worked hard to make this all possible, solving fights and bringing in new characters, and she's done it all with a smile... something even I wouldn't have done.

I'll put up a little sign, make a promise, swear some sort of oath to never utter another word, good or bad, about any of them. We can just go our own seperate ways on this, and I wouldn't mind in the least.

We had no enemy, no evil guy. The only evil guy was Vladimir, who only wanted to take over the world so long as he wasn't preoccupied with fucking Erika.
Yeah, I took things over, when there wasn't anything to take over. I brought up a plot about a book, and a page, and a powerful spell, and special rings to unlock secret powers, and huge barbarian warriors and evil vampires races to battle. I made it all myself, and I'm proud of what I did so far. I think I've done a damned good job.
But, I'm not the only person in his thread. You all are a part of it, and saying that, you can all do whatever you want. You don't have to destroy Mongrel, you don't have to accept the ring, you don't even have to follow the plot. Hell, make up your own plot and do whatever you want. I'm not stopping you. At no point have I ever stopped anyone from doing whatever they wanted to do in this thread.

I didn't post for Mongrel, cause I wanted him to be wherever you thought he might, so they could meet... but you turned tail at the last minute and ran for Aria instead.

Gm, you wrote that Vlad called me, asking what to do next, I wrote to Vlad to have him go kill an old witch in France. If you choose not to let your character have information on an old witch, or you choose not to know how to find such information, than that is up to you. You are a writer, you are a creator of this story. You went through countless pages of shit to write Joseph back into this thing, you are telling me you can't figure out enough to know that some old lady is wandering around a circus somewhere in France, or a street corner? Or a delicatesssen? Think! Create! Do whatever you want. Use magical leprachauns to find her, or talking horses with the power of flight Maybe Santa Claus can help? You can borrow his magic sleigh to check all of the houses for an old woman in France...
It seems like I gave you the same amount of information when you had to go find a ringbearer in New York. Mongrel said, "There are Ring bearers in New York. Go fetch." You went, and within a few days got contact with one. If you can't do it again, then you need even more help than I'm allowed to give you.
I'm not going to make it easy for you. I'm sorry if I said something that made you assume whatever you did would be easy. You are asking to be on the right hand side of someone who, a few weeks ago (game time) you told quite bluntly you wanted to kill. Vladimir came to Mongrel saying he was going to kill him (1) Vladimir destroyed a number of Mongrel's henchmen, including personal bodyguards (2) and Vladimir couldn't even bring back one single Ring bearer (3). That's 0 for 3, not a very good record in my book. If you hired someone, and they did three things wrong on their very first week of work, would you promote them to your personal assistant?
If you want to know any part of my plot, GM, then all you have to do is ask. You never got any information before, because you never asked me for any. I'll give anyone any amount of information about anything they want so far as I know. I'll give you Mongrel's plans, the location of the last page, what the spell actually is (we've been doing this for over a year and a half, and no one really knows what the spell is, do they? Hee hee, I do!) I'll tell you who the final Ring Bearer is, I'll even tell you where Corbin is (for those of you newer people, I'll even tell you WHO Corbin is).
I've never been secretive about any of this information. If anyone wants to know anything about what I'm doing, or going to do, just ask. I prefer Pm's though, because I could answer all of your questions here, but then everyone would know... and that would ruin it. Some people would rather have it be a mystery until the end.
I mean, come on, do you want to know how a movie ends? If you do, ask. If you don't... sit back and watch. I assure you it will be entertaining nonetheless.
I have a plan, but I'm leaving it open specifically so we can all create ideas and have fun. I have nothing set in stone, just ideas I keep floating around until the right time for them to arise. Nothing less, nothing more. If you want something less, ask, if you want something more... ask as well.
And don't ever Yell at Sweet P for minding her own business. This thread is her business. If there is one person who has been more adament and determind about this thread, or its problems than me, it has been her. She's had to endure more shit for this one story than I've had to do for all of my time here role playing on Lit. This is her baby, her creation. Whatever happens here, big or small, involves her.
She deserves your respect. You can spit in my eye and call me childish or whatever the hell you want, but don't you ever treat Sweet P with anything less than respect and devotion. She had worked hard to make this all possible, solving fights and bringing in new characters, and she's done it all with a smile... something even I wouldn't have done.
We are all in this together, and if one person has a problem with another, everyone has a problem. There will be no name calling, no fucking pissy fights. We will talk like adults and solve whatever it is that needs solving.

Now the military aspect of me thinks everyone should spend less time BITCHING on the OOC thread and more time on the story
This is supposed to be fun, that is the whole point. I think as a rule sweetp and pooh pretty much run the thread but it has been that way from the begining. If ANYONE has a question about something in the story just ask either on here or via PM that way we all know what is going on. I mean sheesh if this is going to become a big battle of who's running the show then Kat just may have to commit some type of magical suicide..........even she can only handle only so much melodrama

Good to hear GM. Glad you took some initiative about the whole subject. I like to get the air clear of things, and not bring up the past. There should be no past to bring up, only the present.

If you want, you can grab a fax coming through your private jet fax machine telling you where France is, some local airports, and known locations of where the witch might be (along with the definition of the word witch, just in case your character doesn't know that). After reading the "too many" ranting posts here, I went ahead and took some initiative of my own. If I stepped on any toes with my mentioning of the "Old woman", obviously the "old Witch" and her connection to Darius, or with the clear foreshadowing of her demise (an assumption, perhaps, based on posts here on the OOC), tell me. Also, if I was supposed to add some sort of accent or particular way of speaking, I can edit that in as well.
Oh, and pooh, you've got a PM.
