I don't think your character is completely invincible. I do think the sword may be a little bit overpowered. But, that's ok. You can still be in the story.
Hey, I didn't know if you were still accepting characters, but here's my go. I'm an inveterate RPer but new to Literotica, so this will be my first time in this forum.
Name: Adrienne Tempest
Sex: Female
Age: 25
Race: Magewarped: a magically crafted human/animal hybrid. ( in Adrienne's case, feline) Crafted through a long and ardorous process, most Magewarped are never seen beyond the confines of their sorcererous Masters' strongholds. Each Magewarped is unique, and only powerful magic-users are capable of commanding the energies required to produce one. Magewarped are created to serve a specific purpose, and that purpose is built into their very make-up.
Appearance: Standing 5'9" and just over 110lbs, Adrienne is lithe and athletic in the extreme. Thick, velvety jaguar fur covers most of her body in shades of black and grey. Her skin beneath is milky pale, and her eyes are stormy-grey with slitted pupils. Her ears are large, and come to a point just above the crown of her head, with prominent tufts of fur at the tips. Silky black hair flows from her head and trails down to her shoulders very mane-like. Her hands and feet bear retractable claws that are functional weapons when all else fails, and a long slender tail juts from the end of her spine. Every move she makes and every word she speaks is laden with seduction, for that was the purpose for which she was made. Programmed since birth to move and act in ways that are desireable to the opposite sex, Adrienne has no conscious control over her sexual appeal.
Equipment: Adrienne carries a pair of elbow-blades called Surprise and Silence that are cunningly disguised in a pair of bracers that she wears at all times. She also wears a studded leather corselet and egyptian-style kilt in deep crimson. She also carries a collection of poisoned darts that she weaves through her hair as decoration. Any material wealth she might possess is worn as jewelry in the fashion of a mercenary, with links of gold and silver chain her most common form of currency. Adrienne conceals herself when dealing in populated areas with a claok, mask, and gloves, lest her one-time Master hunt her down. Knee-high boots complete her ensemble, and provide additional concealment, though Adrienne prefers to go barefoot whenever it is safe to do so.
Background: Born into slavery, and twisted into a creature of lust and death, Adrienne lived most of her life bound to a Master that molded her into the perfect combination of plaything and assassin. Her skills were honed from an age too young to contemplate to ensure the lessons were learned completely. Adrienne was used and abused as a powerful tool to further the aims of her cruel maker, but an innate cleverness and will to survive helped her to escape. Now she roams freely, concealing herself as she can, determined to destroy evil and corruption however she can. She holds a particular vendetta against those who harm children or deal in slaves, and will hunt such vile personages to the ends of the world to see them safely in their graves.
Abilities: Adrienne is trained in both seduction and stealth, and has a great deal of skill in such arts. Though she does not possess any magic of her own, her very nature is magical, lending her an innate fortitude against any but her creator's power. She is more likely to prove resistant to most magics and is subject to less damage from harmful spells.
Weaknesses: What Adrienne fears most is the slavery from which she has all-too recently fled. It has made her paranoid to the point of phobic about being restrained, and she harbors a strong dislike for large crowds where she can less easily defend or conceal herself, and confined spaces where she might find herself unable to escape. Not built or trained for head-to-head combat, Adrienne is defensively weak against physical attack, and avoids direct conflict whenever possible.
DeathsKnight, that's fine, I was hoping it was something like that.
Tia, you're more than welcome to join in the story. I will constantly be accepting new characters, and there will be plenty of opportunities to join in the story.
On that note, everyone who is still around and interested needs to post in the actual storyline thread.
Personally, I agree with Wargarble. You two can keep on having your conversation. Think about it like this: The conversation you're having, even if it does get a little longer, will probably take about as long to transpire as it will take her to get from the town square to the Alehouse. I don't think you guys are really in danger of taking over the story. I'm just hoping she hasn't completely dropped out of the storyline.
Ok, this is getting a little bit annoying. Tia hasn't posted in like three days. If she doesn't post today, we may just have to move on without her tomorrow. Yeah, she'll have until tomorrow evening to post again, and then we will move on without her. She can hop back in later, but she'll have to be out of the story for now if she doesn't post soon.
That's kinda part of the problem. The only thing Naden could do right now without exiting the scene is either fall asleep or start abusing other customers, neither of which I think he is likely to.
Yeah, and the only thing my character is doing is taking off his gloves and boots, and then most likely going to sleep. Unless something happens to change that...
Name: Arisu Brent Sex: Female Age: Supposedly 400 Race: A mix of naga and basilisk. While snake like, the breed does take on a humanoid form, due to the fact the race is dying out. And because the two breeds are immortal, they somehow cancel each other out and cause her to be mortal. But, even though she is mortal, she is damn hard to kill. The only proven way to kill her is to chop off her head. Of course, no one has ever gotten that close to do it. Or so, she hopes. Profession: Blacksmith/Weapon Expert – She works as a blacksmith, but due to the fact she has come across so many weapons and has created so much, she knows what she’s talking about. She can identify a weapon by just giving it a quick glance. She was rumored to have created such an evil sword that it even tried to kill her. Where it is, she won’t reveal, but all that is known is that it’s chained up.
Weapon:
Twin Sais that are a rare metal with the handles being light blue and the lining being ivory.
Thor’s Hammer is much taller than her and carefully crafted for strength and having light weight. It can, when it’s raining, call upon lighting to help her. Otherwise, it’s just an abnormally large hammer, that has pretty jeweled designs.
Bow and Arrows, these are hand made by her, and so is light and fast.
Spells:
Medusa – when one looks into her eyes they are turned into ‘living’ statues. While this does not kill them, it does allow her to make an escape relatively unharmed.
Scared to Death – when she is angered, just by being bitten, the venom that lies within her, can started to slowly destroy the veins and soft tissue of the body. This is not instant death and there is a cure, unfortunately, Arisu is smart enough not to reveal it to the world. She does care it in vials around her waist though.
True Form – Arisu can only use this on the night of the full moon. She reverts back to the form she was supposed to be born into. A vicious half human, half snake. This form does multiply the strength of her spells, some may cause instant death, others the effects are unknown.
Looks: She barely stands at five feet and has the appearance of being willowy and weak. While her body reveals no muscle, she had quite a right hook on her. Her skin is pale and milky white and matches her long ivory hair which in a loose braid. Her body bares scars, bruises and burns but not all are from her jobs. Arisu’s pupils are silted like a cat or a snake, her eyes are a dark ivory
color. Clothes: She has on a long sleeve, knee length dress that is obviously several size too long for her. There is a brown belt in which her twin sais are strapped too. Her hammer is strapped to her back. She wears knee high brown leather boots with a soft heel. Around her waist is another belt in which her carriable blacksmith supplies are stored. She does not use them as weapons due to the fact they would be useless. She also wears long black fingerless gloves that end mid shoulder. Enchantments: Her boots were enchanted for her to never make a sound, even when walking in water. They also allow her to easily balance herself in places most people would fall. It is also made to relieve aches and pains from her feet. Her belts keep her tools from falling out and is pretty hard to take off, unless she does it. Her gloves, now, help her to not get burned by fire and help her have a better grip when climbing or fighting.
Well, Eilit, you are accepted into the story, so just try to place your character somewhere in the Alehouse, or you can come in later. I'm glad we're getting more people, because that way the posts can come more frequently. It seems that the story is picking up, though.
Side note, to Leo, I didn't actually mention the Necromancer out loud, so I don't know if your character can read minds. Just thought I should clarify that.
That's fine, I was just freaking out. I was like "WHAT THE FUCK, CAN HIS CHARACTER READ MINDS?". Of course, if he could, I would have had to keep playing like I didn't know that.
I think we might be moving a little too fast for Tia. She seems to be unable to get on here and post as often as the rest of us. I really hope we don't have to leave her behind, but if she slows us down too much, we might have to.
