Chaotic Coffee Klatch (tea also available)

Yeah, I’m just joking. She’s 25. I’ve always given her total autonomy over her body and personal life. Though once a father always a father.

When I had just turned 25 I moved to Johannesburg and my dad was so concerned about my security that he bought a house in a secure estate so his little angel would be safe 😂. So you are not alone with the father forever reasoning.

Barely! I even made it through some of the hundreds of photos of my sister's & nieces' trip photos. That one almost killed me

Years ago when I was still elementary school my parents had a friend who traveled a lot and he used to come over and him and my dad would set up the projector in the lounge and we would get a slide show. I used to love it, he would narrate everything and was really funny. I suppose I was young and easily impressed 🤣.

Some of it was amusing - my nieces’ were a little impatient at the multiple pictures of the same thing, too, so their narration was funny. But there were still multiple photos of the same thing to get through…

Oops, silly me!

Happy thanksgiving to all you Americans.
Thank you! And in red & blue - that's effort!

I sometimes feel a little embarrassed at how many non-Americans wish us happy Thanksgiving - we've obviously gone on and on about it until they feel they have to acknowledge it. But I guess it's not too bad to have a holiday dedicated to feeling thankful (though would be nice if more people would feel that way the rest of the year). Now I'm just babbling...

My father comes from Boston and so we celebrated Thanksgiving every year until I went away to university, it wasn't a big feast like you guys do and it wasn't a holiday either. My dad cooked the meal (it was always a turkey) and my aunts, uncle and cousins (the Swedish ones) came to dinner and it was a very nice evening and something I could talk about at school the next day.

I didn’t know you were half Bostonian! Do you still have relatives here?

Yeppers, we used to go there every alternate christmas break and stay with my grandparents in Medford. Everything was great until my uncle got divorced and my two cousins (male) became assholes. So yes they are still living in Boston but I don't speak to that side of the family anymore.
