Comments That Make Your Day

I woke up this morning and found this comment on A Fool Not to Fuck:
TRES ESTRELLAS.

Now, on the face of it, this appears to be a reader commenting that the story was mediocre. Fair enough, that's a valid opinion.

But then why all caps? There must be something else going on. You don't get that passionate about declaring a story to be so-so.

Clearly, the "three stars" refers to the three characters in the story. The reader must really like them.

Thank you for the feedback! I hope you enjoyed the other stories in the series too!

Sweetie, it means three stars, so above average but not excellent would be what they were saying. Or maybe you're right: three-star characters. But without more context, it's difficult to sus out. I don't think he meant it as a bad thing. Wouldn't it be nice if commenters didn't try to be cleaver.

The other day I suggested that we should be able to choose different background colours for our posts to indicate the tone. In this case, my post would have been the lilac of self-mockery.

But even so, I appreciate your post. Thanks.

Let me be the first to say this about that. Great idea!
I think people have experimented with different font colours to indicate tone, but different background colours are more prominent, and the text is probably easier to read. Surely some tech-savvy person can add a feature where you click a button that says "Add sarcastic/angry/joking/apologetic tone"?

What did lilac ever do to you? Everyone knows that the colour of self-mockery is beige.

I didn't know that! Personally I would have assumed it to be ecru, but then again I'm in a different country. And to be fair, the area I'm in was largely settled by the French, who historically have had some very particular philosophies regarding self-mockery.

Hello. I am still quite new to the site and have only a few stories posted, but this was such a nice reaction and did make my day...

Ok, this is one of the best stories on Literotica! Well written and full of suspense, and a bit of perversion! I hope there is a second part!

Welcome to Lit. I read your story and while it's outside my wheelhouse, it was well written. I agree with the request for a second part. It could be an entire series about her growing into her sexuality.

At least it's not Ennui

I'm sure there's an AI app for that!

"Great story. Really well told. I appreciate all the thought and backstory you put in! Your words let my imagination fill everything in, enough detail to let everything flow but enough gaps to let me make the characters my own. I admit I saw your comment on ShelbyDawn's latest work and was intrigued. Glad I looked, this was excellent for your first foray into this corner of Literotica. You write really well, I'll be looking into your other stories!"

There is one reader I have who is very keen on a particular series of one-shot stories featuring a character called Princess Jern.
While the comments are left anonymously, I can always tell it is this person from the way they write. English does not seem to be their first language, which leads to their comments being very amusing to read through, but their sheer enthusiasm for the character keeps me motivated to keep going.

I'm only sad that I am going to be taking a break from focusing on Jern for a while to focus on some other characters.

My story "Raging Hormones", is about the wife getting hormone pellets which augments her sex drive. One anon comments asks:

Guys can’t get hormone replacement therapy?

There's nothing in my story which says it's only for women. And at the end of the story it says: "And if the love of my life ever gets too tired or complacent, I'll recommend he go to the spa. The doctor said she can boost men's testosterone levels, too."

Some readers read with their own bias and assumptions, then leave such misleading comments.

A few hours into publication on The Straight Date Experience and only two comments, but they're great comments!

@ccitydude wrote: "But men can be incredibly wonderful, too. They're just different from us. They think differently. They act differently. But men can be just as loving and caring as any woman. They're just different." Hey, Frey. Great stuff. It seems an important theme running through this tale is difference. And you handled it with intelligence and sensitivity. And some of the sexy bits made my dingle tingle. Well done.

@AchtungNight write: Your best story so far. Liked that you made her first time after a date, on her terms, and how she expressed that she enjoyed it. Alex had good emotions expressed also. I want to see the “bang three girls in one day” story at some point. ;) Keep up the good work.

Comments make it all worthwhile. In an anonymous, discreet community, feedback from readers in the form of comments are why.

"Honestly, i am trying to think if i've read anything
In this genre that is better than this last chapter. It is just magnificent. The slow burn leaves so much room for me to imagine myself into this scene.
Great job!"

Wow! A smart cheating cunt who can tell that a revolver is empty by looking at the empty holes in the cylinder. Keeping a gun with the bullets locked up in another room makes sense only to the anti gun crowd. I own many guns, and yet have not had a single one touched by anyone that I haven’t handed it to. This Lifestyle story isn’t 4th level vile, but it’s still nothing but a cuck story. I would enjoy a second chapter where Dave uses that fast draw .45 revolver to shoot Earl’s balls off. Doubt we’ll see that one.

And I tried so hard to reach that 4th level of vile!

But I am now 2.6k words into working on the second chapter to try again! It will be on its way in about two more weeks.

This was great. I loved the flexibility of the encounter (but kids, obviously pick a safeword before you start.) and the queering of m-f sex. *applause

(The story includes a SM scene where the top takes the words 'no' and 'stop' at face value, and his partner has to admit to being disappointed...)
