Comments That Make Your Day

I really, really appreciated this one on Endless Curiosity, because I feel like my stories tend to sound the same:

"How do you do it? My goodness, each story is written in such a different way, the style, the perspective. I'm awed at the way those words pour forth.
Keep them coming! (pun intended ofc)"

I did not know that.
Some of us do try, you know! NTH’s story is a really nice piece of work that challenges the reader to see events and people differently. It’s no wonder that it’s got hundreds of comments and is highly rated.

My new story, The Opposite of Jealousy, has definitely not been helped by dropping over the Thanksgiving holiday, but some very kind comments are trickling through none the less! One that felt very affirming was from @Prettylynne:

you write about things totally outside of my own experience and I love your stories. So detailed and emotionally nuanced and they ring true. I loved this one.

And one that put a huge smile on my face from @NudistJayByrd:

You left out the bit where NudistJayByrd said ‘Please never stop writing!’

On that note, we don’t have any Thanksgiving equivalent here, but I imagine that if we did, I’d be giving thanks for all the wonderful creative things than can happen within a river of free erotic fiction. Celebrating endless variations of human (*and non-human, but no animals!) relationships at any age (*age conditions apply) in a way that opens minds, loins and hopefully hearts. And even though this thread can feel a bit ‘look at me’ of course, it is a great way of demonstrating (with written evidence) the joy that the reader response creates.

Fantastic finger licking story. Enjoyed every orgasm you gave me while I listened to this story. Your descriptions were spot on and I thought I was your Em. Loved it. I will try to log on via wife’s laptop so I can vote. Three pairs of knickers and the sheets on the bed need washing now loved it.

This one from a story I wrote 2 1/2 years ago, 'Miss Vickie'.

Now that is a satisfied customer! 💦🌂

rainyday493: Both lovely, if kinda perverse, and ridiculously hot in the end.

I knew I shouldn't have thrown in three sentences of hardcore foot stuff. More seriously, it's a nice thing to hear about a story that I didn't think worked.

I should add this comment was posted just a few days ago, since the story is 2 1/2 yrs old.

Just got a comment on Reddit for my story

https://www.literotica.com/s/never-kiss-your-mark

I had to leave a second comment here since my Literotica comment has to be reviewed and all that.

That story is legitimately haunting. I hate the ambiguity of it in the best way. Like, I was just brushing my teeth while having an internal debate as to what direction the ending took. So well written.

That ambuguity is demonic. Demonic, I tell you!
I think as a writer if we don't leave the reader either happy or thinking we have failed.

Happy and thinking is a success!

What I’d like to know is when the ‘receive comment notifications after you die’ feature will be implemented. I’m pretty sure that I’m going to need the occasional dopamine fix after the time comes.
Rigging up a little bell over your grave like Victorians scared of being buried alive, but it's wifi-enabled and rings every time your Lit account gets a notification

I love this poem, it is rare for me to read such a piece, especially online. Well done!

Got this one on my poem Of Masters and Monsters, and it made my day, week and month. I was going through some tough times IRL, and that simple comment made me feel so validated.

“Just lovely. The romance between them was beautifully handled - their surprise, the attraction, the exploration, and eventual realisation of their feelings. You really made us feel for the two characters and hope that parents and friends would not spoil their party. Can't say enough nice things about this story - heart warming and beautiful. Thank you.”

Some lovely comments on my new story, The Opposite of Jealousy...

@Eosphorus' comments always leave me feeling warm and gooey!

I read this with a giant grin on my face the whole time. I wasn’t even in a reading mood when I began but as soon as I saw it was another Scout story I was hooked right in. Another Penny Thompson mix of humanity, humor, and intelligence! And it all felt believable thanks to the characters you’ve crafted.

There’s so much to love about this but what I’d like to highlight is how you handled Scout’s speech which went viral. Rather than a tacked-on chance to inject social commentary in the story (100% agreement with Scout, btw), it both drove the plot forward and was a milestone in Scout’s ongoing character development.

@Prettylynne left me my favorite kind of comment in the whole world🤩

Thank you so much for this. I'm in the middle of reading your work, in your recommended order. This is the best so far, for me. So burn, yes. But it's not a tease! But I do love all parts of this. All of the ins and outs. The love they both go through throughout their journey of their own love for one another. But in all honesty, my comment really can't do this story any justice, as I am not a writer, but a consumer. So, thank you.

On another note...as an American, I find some of the dialogue and even some narration difficult, but in a good way! It's fun learning some Bristolian and likely general British English that I'm learning. I just learned what a flannel is, for example! And answer phone. Fun leaning new words.

Loved this. I got some pushback on another story for writing in a light dialect, so it was great to have our good pal Anon say they appreciated that aspect.

However, what really made my day was that this is comment number forty on my story Forty. That pleases me greatly! (Twenty and Thirty beat their numbers some time ago.)
