Comments That Make Your Day

On Smoking Hot ch.6, over 5 years old now: Just to let you know people are still reading, and really enjoying this story!

It's a chapter where two guys realise their casual sex has turned into something more and they care about each other. There's kissing.

Its pretty rare to get any in depth comments on a 750 word story, so I'd like to thank @PadTy for not just reading it but getting exactly what I was going for.

PadTy about 4 hours ago

In 750 words, your MMC goes from greasy to downright unlikeable. I get a sense of his history and approach to life, and that's not easy in such a short work. There's just enough of FMC to understand her action and reaction. 👍 Bonus points for the dark humor of the ending. Efficient! Nicely done!

I honestly dont expect 5 stars from every reader, but the current 3.87 score shows either some didn't get it, or maybe some did and it hit too close to home lol.

Okay, the score might be abysmal, but the comments have no death threats yet and the ones that are there are neutral to very good.

I'm not entirely sure if the "is there more?" is bad or not. It ends, maybe not in a big way, but in a hopeful way. So are they disappointed with my vague ending or do they actually want the 26.7k word story to be longer?

Congratulations on that, you really touched people.

Well. Just because I noted some ambiguity about the last one. This one seems a sufficiently lofty compliment.

An excellent piece of erotica in the highest traditions of the art. The writing was excellent, the romance adorable, and the description of the sexual interplays was perfect. Anaïs Nin would have been impressed.

Well written story and believable. Having said that, I was confused about the Vixen/stag Prologue versus the monogamous epilogue but realise now on second reading, duh, that you were describing Allison and Eric’s lifestyle not Lori & Allen. Women are truely totally different than men when it comes down to mental compartmentalisation. How Allison can love her husband while fucking other men when we are often told that once a woman falls in love with someone else its game over for her current lover.

*2!!!!! 'LORI' WASN'T "SHARED" BY 'ALLEN'!!!!!! 'ALLEN' & 'LORI' NEVER DID ANY "SWINGING"!!!!!! 'LORI' AND 'ALLEN' NEVER HAD ANY "MARRIED EXTRAMARITAL FUN"!!!!!!! BOTH CHEATED, ONE OUT OF REVENGE!!!!! THERE WAS NO "LOVING WIVES" CONTENT IN THIS FOUR PAGE RAAC!!!!!!! THE ACT OF SEX TO 'LORI' WAS A DECLARATION OF "LOVE", SHE COULDN'T DO IT WITHOUT SOME LEVEL OF "LOVE" INVOLVED, EXCEPT FOR 'TONI'!!!!!!!! IT'S HARD TO BELIEVE THAT WOMEN, AT THIS DAY & AGE, COULD BE SO NAIVE OR SO SEXUALLY UNINFORMED!!!!!!! THIS IS FANTASY BUT SOME REALITY MUST BE PRESENT TO MAKE THE STORY BELIEVEABLE!!!!! THIS ONE LACKED THAT REALITY!!!!!! NO "LOVING WIVES" STORY FOUND HERE!!!!

Note that the BOLD is added by me to highlight the opposite reactions, but that second one was all caps by the reader.

From The Valentine Debt, cute fox succubus rom-com/demons being used like AI in a magi-tech world/accidental non-con to redemption story.
Clever, and very well written. Not sure if I agree with some of the metaphorical implications of AIs as oppressed demons, but it's your story.
"...but it's your story." tickled me to no end. I actually snorted when I read that. Lovely comment, thank you!

And to be fair, I agree that AI aren't sentient sexy fox creatures. I just wish they were.

My Valentine's story Falling For The Garage Girl seems to be well liked. I'll share these two uplifting comments:

Wonderful story. What a shame it wasn't longer so that my delight could last longer!!!

Fucking perfect. Great backstories and characters, each different though from common past. Well-paced plot with great tension. Loved the extended desperate search that had almost succeeded by the time she found him. And his cluelessness. My only Beemer adventure ended with a design flaw-caused blown head gasket so I can relate. Thanks for your time, effort and considerable talent, as well as advocacy here for helping to relieve the daily burden of illiteracy.

(The MC in the story drives a BMW)

I had no idea people had such hate for BMWs... seems to be a thing:

Great story! I especially liked Lucia's description of BMWs ... although I'd extend it to cover those that drive them, too.

...on a side note, appreciate the trash talk about BMW.

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

But the best so comment is this one. When you venture into subject area you know nothing about (in this case, auto repair), it's great to hear all your research paid off:

This is one of my most favorite stories so far, being a mechanic / technician for 50+ years it has a lot of parts that make me smile. Thank you so much, gave it 5☆ even though it deserves more.

A huge thank you to @Djmac1031 for reading a 25K story published last year ('Letting the Sunshine In') and leaving detailed, reflective comments with examples from the text. I know it takes real effort to do that, and I feel bad that due to life pressures I'm not reading as many of other people's stories as I normally do. Thanks mate.

So I "read" it in my travels today (text to audio app) and I really enjoyed it. As someone who loves music I appreciated the theme, despite not being a musician or at least someone who fully understands all the technical aspects of it. But I understood enough and enjoyed the educational glossary notes in between scenes.

Characters - really well done; finding stories that feature characters that behave like actual people and not porn caricatures can be rare around here. Just a small example is the scene where Angela and Christina undress in front of each other and while they have a moment of mutual admiration for their bodies, don't automatically jump in bed together or devolve into sordid thoughts of wet pussies and throbbing clits etc.

And I loved the natural building of both friendships and relationships as the story progressed. Nothing felt forced or contrived just to get some characters to fuck.

As a big fan of EV stories, I loved the well handled public nudity aspects of the story. Again, titillating while remaining realistic and grounded. And I liked the choir's choice to ultimately save the nudity for certain occasions only.

I'm sorry I didn't get to it in time for the competition but I'm giving it a 5 anyway. Great job, truly.

Not the outcome I was expecting, but that's a good thing actually!

Was a great read from start to finish, and the development of the characters -- primary and side ones -- was very well done. One of the rare cases of a story that actually TELLS a story, rather than just use "window dressing" to set up a sex scene.

The Moderators should tag this as an "E" story: very good and a prime example of what a true piece of "Literotica" is.

Thanks for sharing this with us!

Well that comment on Son of a Preacher Man definitely has me walking a little taller.

Hey trust me, I have good intentions of reading so many stories here, but time and life just get in the way sometimes.

But I really did enjoy your story and I felt it deserved a little more than a "good job" comment 😀

I had no idea people had such hate for BMWs... seems to be a thing:

"i never hated BMS's until I got locked into one and discovered you needed the key fob to get out.":oops:
It was a ridiculous and dangerous feature. It was an older one, and this was about 20 years ago, so
they may have changed.

A couple of lovely comments just in on ‘It just ain’t going to happen’ with @PennyThompson. BTW @NoTalentHack, I’d like to know what you slipped in 26th’s bourbon to put him in such a good mood!

I’m not always a fan of your work, but when you post something like this I’m blown away. This was absolutely brilliant writing that could be popular anywhere you post it outside LW. I know that you can write, your coauthor is good too, but didn’t know you were able to put out something on this level. I’m a pro level skimmer, but I had to slow down to read this one, and I didn’t mind that at all.

I have been rereading stories in my favorites list. This came up in my similar stories list for a story I was reading. I don't typically go off script, but I did in this case, and I am so glad I did. Wonderful story. Well thought out characters and storyline. I am looking forward to reading your other stories.

A nice comment on Homeless today:

"My second reading. Great story! Loved it just as much the second time around. I already gave it five stars. Wish I could give it more."
