Comments That Make Your Day

Under the sea
Under the sea
Darling it's better
Down where it's wetter
Take it from me

A selection of comments from Secrets After Midnight:

A kind one from EightyThousandEightyFive, whose work I like quite a lot:
Damn. Don’t know what’s higher; my admiration for your creativity, or my envy.

This story is so good, crazy and original. You packed so much plot in such a short story.
So much mystery, so many questions.

Ugh. Another I kind of hated and also found intriguing.

The author crafted the antagonist with remarkable care and sympathy.

I will be thinking about Gillian for a while now.

Maybe her story hasn't all been put to page.

Congrats on the nomination; well deserved.

Your writing delves into the complex dynamic of being human; I appreciate the skill with which you translate that understanding into building characters and plotlines which keep me reading even when I recognize that what I'm reading is not going to end as I would prefer. This story is another one of your skillful creations and reinforces the usual anticipation I have at finding a new one of yours.
But damn it's depressing. Now I have to go try to counteract what you've done.
Reading is the only way we can live more than one life. Please keep writing--you help make that possible.

Where did all the good reviews come from? Did you write them yourself?

Of course not. They'd have a lot more cliches if I did.

And from Amorous Goods: Carter's Key:

Another winner for NTH. He's able to breathe new life into well-known and sometimes tired tropes by crisp dialog and plot twists. Unlike other's Amorous Goods stories, the "key" here doesn't turn the holder into an erotomaniac. Great, fresh treatment!

I genuinely love this story. Thank you.

There couldn't be a better comment. @RainyDayPen really gets it.
This segment here by you in my opinion summed up the whole mood of the exciting piece:
"Do you desire to be anally penetrated?"
"No."
"Do we have your permission to anally penetrate you?"
"Yes."
---
That really says it all, and it made it so thrilling when it later happens.

Thought this was fun, on my latest - About That Night.

Wow! An actual love story.
Thank you. 5*
This gets shared with the wife.

Gotten several nice comments so far on my newest story, One Night Of Sindi, just published today.

But this one stood out as a nice reminder that sometimes simple is better.

I realized this, well written, well thought out, great characters and this simple plot that needed no more.

Brilliant

I don't get many comments, which I'm actually quite fine with. A recent upload received this:
I just found it amusing that someone would take the time and effort to deliver such commentary. Not that leaving a comment is hard, of course, but it's clearly a bar few readers are willing to hurdle. Still, I can appreciate the terseness.

I have a friend living in Lewiston. Didn't hear from him for about 13 hours after finding out about it. That was a rough night, but I'm glad to say he is safe. (He's a Vietnam Vet in his 70s and living alone in the area.)

I hope any of your loved ones in the area are safe as well.

Good news about your friend. All my Maine family is in the Midcoast, about 75 miles from Lewiston. But I know a few people there. We keep hearing the cliche that all of Maine is a small town, but there is a lot of truth to it.

Too Cold Not to Fuck has attracted several comments in its first day of publication.

First was loyal reader @Smuttyandfun, who was as supportive as ever:
Well done. Short, hot and sweet.

Next, @Altissimus added this:
Very well written and evocative for the length. 5 stars.

And other comments from names I don't recognise, but whose feedback is much appreciated:
Sometimes you just need to get off.
But there’s more here … please continue.
Fantastic short story. I enjoyed it a lot. 5* for keeping it classy.
sweet and appropriate
Hoping that he just impregnated his sister…. And they continue this relationship throughout uni and beyond.
Uh, sure, that can be your head canon if you want.
Nice little tale, short and nicely written. Just one thing though: a cock can't be 'a shaft of molten steel.' Molten means LIQUIFIED or MELTED...think about it.
Alright, next time I'll write "a shaft of steel that's just reached melting point but not yet collapsed into liquid state". (Actually, that's facetious. The commenter is quite right. I used the simile as a placeholder, and didn't correct it during editing.)

Thought this was a fun comment on Sexy Sadie.

Only had one M-I-L and she was not someone I would do no matter what. A very well thought out and written story. I definitely look forward to reading more of your work. I appreciate your and your Muse's imagination and abilities to bring it to your story. Thank you for sharing your vision and talents.

I got this one via email:
Jenn Potter, likes her some pot, but loves her meth. Thanks so much for passing on HPV

It is obviously not a public comment on a specific story, but Jenn Potter is a female character from the Alistaire Series, which has zero drug use or STD issues.
This thing has made my day simply because it is so out of Left Field.
I make up stories about this troubled rando. Did he know someone really named Jenn Potter? And who even knows that someone has passed on HPV?
