Comments That Make Your Day

Just wanted to say thank you. I saw an earlier post where you mentioned surrender instead of submission. That really struck a nerve and sounds so much more fitting. So thank you for that different turn of phrase :)
This is a comment on my bio, not a story. I value it a lot because people who share my sensibility are very few and far between... very. I get a fair number of compliments on my writing, but have not found many like minded readers.

From SplitPeach,
Absolute masterwork. Yes it's dark, especially this chapter... Yes it's painful to feel what Vicki is going through, but it is also honest, and that in itself is sexy even if the 'sex' itself is not always so. There are plenty stories about consequence free sex of all flavors, let this occupy the rare space and let it show it's teeth.

Your ability to weave complex relationships without overwhelming this story is breathtaking, and gives so much life to Vicki's inner condition, good and bad. I certainly DID NOT see this story coming based on the title.

This is every thing I want in a comment.

so the first comment, which is actually the second won, perturbs me, why can't dufus idjets keep their lamb ass opinions to themselves and why do they insist in reading things they know they won't like. On my newly published story here, Anything Goes: Lust in the Shadows.

I doubt it. She could do anything she wants single, but a guy with money gets anything he wants and it sure wouldn't be a white trash slut trying to tell him what he will and won't get.

Whoa, "once married, she had to tell Hubby how things were!" 5 stars, intensely erotic.
very good job writing. Thanks, Buster2U

On Meat Market:

Absolutely lovely. I love how the author gave us just a slight smattering or hint of physical description of the characters, trusted us to fill in the blanks and focus on the parts of the story that matter, and didn't fetishize even an iota the interracial aspect. It's restraint that's rarely seen here. They had a meet sad rather than a meet cute. It was so grounded in a reality I think a lot of us can relate to. The way Sarah approaches Darius, giving him the kind of space he really needs, and the way they talk to each other about their grief is so smart and refreshing. I hope I can retain some of it and be as good of a listener, allowing a person to talk about their grief how they want/need to without putting myself or my own expectations in the way. There's real freedom and respect in that. This is a lovely story every way you look at it. Thank you, author.

Nice comment this morning on Fido:

This has to be the funniest story I've read on this site. Definitely worth 5 woofs.

And to think, I just about didn't post that story, thinking it was too over-the-top. But LW readers loved it.
It is an older story and needs some TLC editing.

One of my favorite comments:
Story: Dumb Blond Neighbor, "This is a masterpiece!! Sensitive and trashy; very, very difficult to do well. BRAVO!!"

Just got my first comments on my latest entry in my new Monogamish series (a series that is my second worst received on this platform, to my puzzlement)
This one, from a regular commenter who always charms me, was particularly fun:
I should have added that this series has caused me to go to Amazon and order one of those massage wedges from "Her" story, and now considering midday pineapple shopping. You are clearly doing commercials much better than the "Networks"! :)
Ah well, I Pitch Man I shall be...

Currently CARRY ON CRUISING is smashing it in terms of comments as people are full of praise for it. This is the end sentence of my current favourite.

“You are one of the most enjoyable writers here on Lit. Creatively lighthearted and playfully erotic, your stories always have an engaging charm that bears a distinctive signature.”

I am also really enjoying that series.

From my one-off, Seven Days at Sea.

I never, for the longest time, imagined that readers were stating a story, jumping to the end and commenting before finishing the story. I started tot think it was possible, and these two comments just confirmed it a absolute truth.

In fairness, my Romances do tend to have a shit-ton of Erotic Coupling, just like my ECs tend to have a lot of Romance.

I'm starting to realize my romance radar is not calibrated. I think of "doing the right thing" and "tenderness" as romantic more than sex.

A bit outside the box today.

I am curious though about your profile. Most people give the name of their country, and a few even mention their city. Rarely does someone give their coordinates. In another life (when I was a lot younger) I was a navigator so I plotted the position. You gave your location as 49 degrees 52'22"N Latitude, 6 degrees 26'44"W Longitude. That position is apx. 10 Km WSW of the Isle of St. Agnes (off the SW coast of England). Unless there is a small island there that is not on my map, those coordinates place you 10 km offshore in the Atlantic. If you change the coordinates to East Longitude, it would place you about the same distance SSW of Bitburg, Germany. So, which is it? Just curious.

heh.

I love this story. I hope it doesn't take another 3 years to see the next chapter :)
I actually enjoyed this gentle dig at how long it took me to get to part 3 of my Vacation with the Marshals series, earlier this year. Makes me think people are actually looking forward to my follow-ups, whether that's true or not. Now I've got a part 4 pending.

I also have another series that's been 5 years since the latest installment, but so it goes. I have a draft in progress somewhere...
