Computer problem

[Star of Penumbra]

Whenever I save a file, when the window comes up to selecet where you want to actually save it, all the icons are rearranged by date by default, instead of by type, then name, like they have been for as long as I can remember. This has happened with EVERY program on my computer, and I don't have the faintest idea how or why, or how to permanently change it back.

In short, it looks like this, and I want it to look like this, but I can't figure out how to change it back permanently.

YES, I am aware of this, but that only changes that folder, and not any of the subfolders, and on top of that the change only lasts until I save the file or open a different folder or hit Cancel.

open a folder (any folder will do)

open view...choose details

choose which details you want to see in which order...click ok

then open tools...folder options

open view tab

click apply to all folders
