That's no fun is it. My grampie passed at the beginning of covid.. no funeral, no hugs, no support

Im lucky in that no one I know has died of the virus although do know a couple who have had symptoms.
Even though visiting outside is now possible, how do I choose which of my kids or grandkids it will be, we are only allowed one person. Plus we are shielding one son at home who is profoundly disabled and with respiratory problems, so we are here for the duration.
Grandkids understand and they always ask how he is when we FaceTime.

My grampie didn't pass from the virus , he was well into his 90's and came down with pneumonia. When they were x raying his lungs they discovered he was likely full of cancer. Due to his age they opted out of surgery and treatment. Within the next few days he passed. This was at the very beginning of Corona, but we weren't able to have a funeral.
Our community is fortunate in that we've had few cases, I don't know anyone personally either.
I know my mom couldn't choose between her children but now visits (for us anyway) can be anyone outside, not just your bubble...so you'll get there as long as everyone behaves! I wish it for you soon!
And shielding a child is no joke. My oldest is compromised health wise and yesterday was the first day she's been to someone else's property since this all started . It's a crazy world right now.

I really don't think any of the Government Officials know what's going on. They all seem to wander aimlessly about mean while so many people are suffering hard times. I've been working ever since and personally I'm not worried about a virus.
