Ezmirylda

OOC: Oops, she failed her spot check so bad that even I wasn't paying attention. LOL!

IC: Eyeing the smallish amount of wood she had gathered after she sat down, Ezmi wondered if it would really be enough. She sighed as she looked up to the other party members, finally noticing that Cassandra was missing. She stood up, looking about for her. "Have we lost Cassandra?" She had been so distracted with her little verbal sparing match with Drec she never noticed that Cassandra had gone off to bathe.

Drec

IC: I fumbled threw my pack, searching for my flint and steel. "Perhaps I should of figured I'd use them to night." Do I own a flint and steel? I know I do, did I bring it.

...5 minutes later...

Never would of thought I packed it there. I quickly started the fire. "Hey where did the girls go?"

Ezmirylda

"Oh Drec, you big hairy brute... Thats sort of what I asked you five minutes ago. 'have we lost cassandra' Is what I asked, remember?" Ezmi said as she knelt down to warm her chilled hands at the flickering fire. "I'd suggest you go look for them, while I warm myself up on this lovely fire you've just made, after all, you're the man, you know how these things go..."

Drec

IC: "Hairy brute, are you making fun of my baldness?" I smiled and walked off alone in the low light of dusk. Wait why am I the one looking again?

Ezmi gave Drec a look of mock innocence and shrugged. He plodded off after that, and left her to warm herself by the fire. Some part of her enjoyed the little games they played, but she would be more on guard from now on to not let anything he said get to her like it had before. She needed to be a dependable member of this party... "I could really use a drink right now..." Ezmi muttered to herself as she leaned in toward the fire.

L'amruil: I cocked my head in, my eyes going wide in surprise when I noticed they were all staring at this bull that was in . . . a fence. I almost wanted to ask them but I filed it for later, there were always new things to learn. I didn't really notice much else, just listening to the noises of nature. I went off in a random direction and sat down meditating on what had transpired today. How only a few days ago I was in familiar territory, and now I was . . . well I didn't know where I was. I was on my way to some place called Adaran. I put my hand on the ground and spoke a few words, paying homage to Rillifane Rallathil. I then prayed to Sehanine Moonbow for continual safe travels. I wasn't sure if the moon would rise tonight or not, but at least I should pay my respects. I continued with my prayers to the various members of the Elven Pantheon.

When I finished I noticed that the sun was starting to set. I closed my eyes and listened to the peace around me once more. I then got up and brushed off my clothes, getting my questions ready. Questions like, what that bull was doing fenced in like that, and as to what a "farm" was. I tied my long hair into a pony tail and walked back. I walked back surprised to find only Ezmirylda there. Well, at least I don't have to suffer as much embarrassment now.

I moved as silently as I could so as not to disturb her. I sat down next to her and looked at the fire. I asked her "I saw some strange things today, I was hoping you could explain them to me, Ezmirylda." I paused for a moment and thought how to put this "my first question would be, why that bull you and Drec saw earlier was in a fence?" I asked curiously, I watched her, trying to gauge how my question impacted her.

OOC: move silently 11, sense motive 20

Ezmirylda

Ezmi didn't notice L'amruil's approach until he sat down next to he. She was not startled by it though as she let her bright blue eyes drift over to focus upon him as he asked her to explain why the bull they had seen was penned up. "The bull most likely belongs to the farmer that works this land, he probably keeps it so that he can breed cattle that he must keep somwhere else on this land. It is a strong and healthy looking bull, it would be a shame if the farmer lost it by not keeping it penned in, on his land... Does that help explain things for you L'amruil?" Ezmi asked as she turned ever so slightly to face him.

Drec: You hear faint sounds of splashing coming from the stream and you can see a pile of clothes sitting on the bank. You can glimpse the faintest hint of red hair through the thick reeds.

OOC: Sorry Donsehan, you can't really use sense motive that way on another PC. (NPCs, yes) The problem is that I can't really assign a DC for reading the impact on Ezmi and even if I could, I wouldn't know what that impact was. Moreover, it's not like she's trying to conceal anything, so an opposed roll makes no sense either. Interparty relations are complex... (you can save the roll if you like?) Also, does anyone have Wilderness Lore? If so, you may have knowledge coming your way. Also, please figure out guard shifts, if any and any pre-night actions you want to do before I pull the sun below the horizon.

Ezmirylda

Once all the party members return, Ezmi intends to give them a short but energetic, and seductive dance performance before they all bed down for the night. She asks L'amruil to guard her pack and all her belongings within it, including the scroll while she retrieves her finger cymbals and stands up to prepare her routine. While she slowly moves her young body with only L'amruil as an audiance for the moment, she conciders showing Drec just how 'frigid' she is by teasing him a bit with her dance, then leaving him to himself for the night.

(Performance, gypsy dance roll = 11 for her practicing and 18 for her actual performance before the party. She'll target Drec specifically with her 'attentions' at the show)

Leanna took up a spot at the camp, silently watching the Ezmi and Drec chat about the farmlife. Ignoring them, Leanna pulled out a small journal from her belt pouch, opening it and setting it on her lap.

With a look of concentration, Leanna shut out her companions, focusing on going over the formulae noted down in her pocket book. Knowledge was power, a trueism that her teachers had repeated over and over again. She wondered what greater secrets would be revealed once she had gain admittance to the libraries of the Guild.

That thought made her look up, staring over at Drec and contemplating the scroll he carried once more. Leanna found herself weighing the possible rewards to be found in the scroll versus the sure risks of opening it unbidden. And how did their boots, of all things, come into play?

Such thoughts appeared not to concern her comrades. Ezmi was dancing, apparently for Drec's amusement. Leanna watched for a moment, then snorted, pocketing her book once more. She stared down at the boots in question, trying to puzzle out what their purpose was, or even if they had a purpose beyond the obvious at all.

(Spell craft check, 16).

OOC: Hypothetical question, if Drec and Casandra hit it off and plan other actvities for the night. Keep in mind he is a sorceress. Do I have to make a use magic device check. :cathappy:

IC: "Cassy, that you on the other side of the reeds? Every one is wonderng where you are. If you are there please answer, because this pile of clothing makes me nervous."

Ezmi has a bit of trouble getting the dance going at first, but her practice pays off and her dance for the party in full of fire and grace (read: +2 bonus)

Leanna is moderately sure that the boots have no particular magic about them. There does seem to be a fair amount of ornate beadwork on her pair but the symbols bear no apparent meaning, arcane or otherwise.

OOC: cats, thou art naughty.

Cassandra enjoyed the cool water. She had drank several mouthfuls of the water and now felt refreshed and clean. Floating in the water she begin her return to the bank when she heard:

"Cassy, that you on the other side of the reeds? Every one is wondering where you are. If you are there please answer, because this pile of clothing makes me nervous."

"Yes... yes... it's me... I was getting washed..... " Cassandra replied as she swam closer to the bank and then began to walk in the shallow water towards the shore and her clothes. She didn't care if he saw her or not. It was now much darker and she simply walked to her clothes where he stood. Her huge breasts bounced about as she walked.

"I'm here... I'm fine" Cassandra spoke to her companion as she stood naked in her full glory before him. Without blushing or blinking she began to re-dress herself while he stood near her. She was of common stock and it was nothing to be naked.

"Did you get a good look?" she teased him as she sensed him watching dumbfounded.

"Let's head back to camp... Unless you really came for something else...." Cassandra spoke in a soft voice. She let the words linger in the air for she really didn't know much about this companion and now they were alone in the darkness of night.

He could be an ally....Maybe he has information....Hmmmm... We'll see Cassandra thought to herself.

"Can you help with my hair?" Cassandra asked as he pulled out a brush and comb. The truth was that having such long hair was a pain and a hassle.

"Long strokes... Easy on the knots.... Can you braid it for me?" Cassandra added.

She was hoping to have a chat with him and to foster some interest in herself. Having him help with her hair would definitely create a special moment....

Ezmirylda

Seeing as Drec was still absent from the campfire, Ezmi decided to split the attention she had intended to tease him with between L'amruil and Leanna, hoping to bring some ammount of pleasure to their night. She kept the beat to her dance with her finger cymbals as her sinewous body rounded and circled them.

Drec

IC: 'Yes... yes... it's me... I was getting washed..... ' Oh good, means she didn't get eaten. I could her the sounds of her moving threw the water, she was getting closer. Perhaps I should head back to the fire, but then she'd be walking alone she probably doesn't want that. Then again does she want me standing her next to her outfit.

I cought motion out of the corner of eye. I turned spying the read head stepping out of the water. She was completely nude, facing me, looking at me. I watched the water drip from her huge bouncing breasts as she walked. All I could do was blink. Blink rapidly and frequently.

'I'm here... I'm fine' In between blinks I noticed she wasn't blushing, or covering up. She simply was getting dressed at a rate that was painful slow for me. She was less then an arms reach infront of me, and all I could do was nod that she in fact was alright. She had me spellbound and captive to my own shock and confusion at the situation. 'Did you get a good look?' I simply kept nodding.

As she was now dressed I had stopped my blinking and almost was ready to speak again. 'Let's head back to camp... Unless you really came for something else....' Hearing her soft suggestion, I found myself blinking and dumbfounded again, was she making a pass at me.

Okay relax, just calm down and laugh because she obviously is jokeing. She has no interest in me unless I am between her and an orc, that how it goes you know that, that is why your here after all. That is why you checked up on her, and that is why you have a sheeth and not a pair of boots. So get ahold of yourself she is dressed now, and you can return to the campfire.

'Can you help with my hair?' Well, I guess that is fine. The others won't miss me for a bit. 'Long strokes... Easy on the knots.... Can you braid it for me?' Cassandra added.

"Um, sure I guess. But your going to need to show me how to braid. I'm not all that good with hair, hence the shaved head." She handed me a simple comb, it was finely carved from wood, but nothing to specail. I guess she comes from a smilar wealth group, as poor as I.

I reached out to touch her clean hair and spotted the dirt and flith on my hands. "I'll be right back." I stepped down to the river and dipped my hands in letting the dirt run off. I shook them dry and returned, picking up the comb once more.

"So tell me about yourself." I ran my fingers threw about an inch of her hair. She kept good care of it, the hair seemed straight, strong, fine. She obviously seemed to care about the way she looked, or perhaps it is my memory of her tiny waist and big boobs talking. I began to run the comb down into her hair as instructed, I used long strokes.

I considered myself smarter then many, and that was often right, still I dubted I was much brighter then her, and that made me wonder why she had me do this, and why she was acting the way she was. I had a way with women, and it usaly involved me getting more slaps and angry looks then kisses and hugs. This intemacy was completely new to me.

"Forgive me if I seem a bit off. I'm not the best with women, as I am sure you noticed. Makes me glad the Cleric is here, gives me some one I can realate to. I think."

Cassandra was delighted as Drec combed her long red hair.

"Braid it like this" Cassandra instructed him as she taught him to separate it into three larger strands and then to alternate the strands.

"A little harder.... tighter I mean" Cassandra laughed as Drec played with her her but was doing a good job with the braiding.

"You're very good with hair" Cassandra complimented him.

"You got strong hands" she added with a smile as she spoke to him in a low gentle voice.

When Drek her about herself, at first she was slow and cautious as she explained she had grown up poor and then had been sold off into the service of another. She didn't tell him it had been to an old sorcerer whom she had traded her body for his magic. He seemed to apologize for his clumsiness though it was completely unnecessary.

But she did tell him:

"I was sold when I was 10 years old.... My master recently died.... And so I'm free of my bondage" Cassandra explained.

"I've done many things to please my master... I served him in every way" she added with a soft smile. To her sex was just an activity men and women did for pleasure and true love wasn't a requirement.

"But tell me about you... What skills do you bring to this party of seemingly misfits... and what do you know of that scroll" Cassandra pressed him as her hand gently fell to his knee. She made it seem like an accident but it was all carefully planned.

Drec: The old woman didn't provide very much detail about the scroll. It's dubious as to whether she was fully aware of the contents herself. You know that it consists of payment to the hermit for the goods he will provide, and the old woman alluded to extremely dire consequences if it were to be opened. She wasn't particularly detailed about the exact nature of what would happen, but you recall her using the words: blood, mess and mincemeat.

As Cassandra and Drec talk by the riverside, the sun falls below the horizon and the sky gradually turns a deeper blue. One of the three moons has already risen, glowing faintly in the night sky. It isn't quite dark enough yet to see the stars.

Drec

OOC: Couple of questions on rules I know are often replaced with house rules. First is spell components, how important is it to have a ball of bat guano and sulfur for every fire ball. Second is carrying capacity, how enforced is that? I know we are on the honor system but I'd rather pay no attention it barring the clearly impossible.

IC: I wonder if she inherited anything from her departed master, or perhaps her freedom was the only parting gift. That would explain why she seemed to have simple gear.

I'm good with hair, yeah that is why I choose to be bald thats it. Truth be told, I simply wish to keep it out of my eyes and the reach of my foes, but I tend to mock the concept myself. 'You got strong hands.'

"They should be, I used to be a guard. So they ere my lively hood." He hand fell to me knee. "I'd like to return home some day. But... Well it'll be a while."

"I met our employer when I left home. I've done small jobs for her since. This one doesn't seem to different. (Bluff 1  and that is before the -1 mod ) Its an invite to surprise party her friends are throwing for her... since she is turning 16. You know how important sweet 16 is. I believe they are serving cake. But you and the others can't go... Because... um... they don't have much cake. Yeah thats it." I smiled to myself pretty sure my lie would be undetected.

Cassandra what sure what to believe as Drec spoke of his own history. With the invitation of her hand brushing his knee she had expected a lot more him.

"Oh look... You're almost done and it's getting dark" Cassandra spoke as she tied off the bottom of the braid with a ripped piece of cloth.

"We best hurry back to the camp before the others worry" Cassandra added as she gathered her possessions and headed back to camp.

She was anxious to make her own camp before it was pitch dark. As she walked towards the camp she wondered who would take the lead in establishing a watch for the night.

"Oh Drec... Will you be a dear and help me set up my bedroll?" Cassandra asked in her sweetest voice.

Drec

IC: Well this is sudden end. "I suppose I could, provided you return the favor. Of coarse it is far simpler for us to simply set up one and share it tonight." I smiled feeling a bit more confident with my sense of humor tonight. Although I do wonder if I upset Ezmi earlier.

OOC: Basically, with respect to spell components, if you have a spell component pouch, I assume that you've got the component. Otherwise, not. (If I didn't mention the need for the spell component pouch before, spellcasters may buy one retroactively.) The only exception is that any expensive or rare material component must be bought seperately. House rule: Identify does not require an expensive component anymore.

Drec's bluff is so pathetically obvious that Cassandra doesn't need to roll a sense motive to see through it. She can tell that he hasn't been working for the woman long, doesn't really know much about what's going on and hasn't been invited to a birthday party in ages. The part about having been a guard, however, rings true.

OOC: If things do get steamy, I (or one of you) will need to set up a side thread for it in the SRP.

Ooc:

Kay, I was mostly curious about the spell components. Yor useng a common ouse rule. So the question about carryin capacity is still there. I am sed to ignoreing weight until the character obviosly has more then a light load. Is t acceptable to ignore it for the most part like I normaly do?

As for heating up. Don't worry the mod is an idiot who has a complete apathy for these types of things. If he spies it he is more likely to assume he was accidently fell in the srp forum and simply enjoy it. I mean they don't make people that dumb any more. Oh hey Raven... I was just talking about you. :catroar: Don't worry we've all been here long enouh to keep any sex in the orp baord tasteful and more or les pot relivent.

(Ah, mod bashing.)

After thorough examination, Leanna was confident that her boots didn't have any specifically magical properties. Nor was anything obviously illegal about them.

She wondered why they had to wear them past the guards. After a thinking it through, Leanna decided that the boots were mostly likely components of some sort. She couldn't immediately think of what spell would require them to be worn on a journey before being used, nor did they seem to be of fine enough quality to be enchanted.

The answer most likely lay in the scroll. But Leanna decided she could probably guess what was going on when they reached their destination.

Leanna watched Ezmi dance about the camp from beneath her hood. Well, at least she seemed to be enjoying their odd journey.

"How shall we handle watches?" Leanna asked suddenly, her tone brisk. "Does anyone wish to volunteer?"

Ooc:

*chuckle*. Opinions expressed about the moderator in this thread do not necessarily reflect the opinions of the thread originator. He reserves the right to completely cover his own backside and not take any responsability whatsoever for anything.

Once the watch is determined, I'll need each person watching to roll a spot and a listen check for their shift. (Just in case) I think Drec and Cassandra might not be completely ready for bed, so unless they want to take first watch together, I'll give them another 12 hours or so to talk before saying "later that night" and moving things along.
