I think you should get some monster speakers from a band and play the CD you are buying- the PEOPLE one, through the window facing her place, this way the neighbours will hear it and she will hear it and maybe they will get the point.

Nothing was going on before she moved in, why would now be any different.... I think she is doing this strickly for the attention.

A nicely worded letter from the lawyer stating she will be charged with public nuicence, harassment, slander, verbal abuse, etc, if she doesnt stop her actions should do the work as well as one to the HOA for not standing up to her and her false claims.

When this is all over you need to hold a street party, you and the neighbours that support you, making sure you send her an invite saying "No hard feelings, but due to your peace bond we are unable to invite you!"

Naw dont do that, but damn it would feel good wouldnt it? lol

My attorney had an "official", hour-long conversation with the director of the HOA. The majority of her statements were not based on fact, but were of the "I think this..." and "Well, I feel that this is the case..." When pushed for FACTS, she couldn't provide dates of complaints, other than the ones that were reported to CPS (those ultimately found to be laughable, they were so false). She also admitted she was not lodging MY complaints. The conversation ended with her telling him, (and I quote from the recorded conversation): "Well, you know someone who writes that kind of thing shouldn't have children in the first place. There is no way she could possibly be a fit mother."

When he reminded her that was the worst kind of discrimination, she hung up on him.



So at that point, I realized I was fighting a battle where the one person who was supposed to be impartial was biased as hell. I told my attorney...do what it takes. Whatever it takes. I don't give a fuck what happens to them anymore. My compassion DOES have a limit, and I just reached it.

Today he contacted the ACLU and told them to run with it if they want to take the case; more than likely, since it will get some media attention, they will.

Secondly, he contacted the media. My directive? "Run with it."

No more Ms. Nice. I'm done with this shit. If common sense won't appeal to them, the legal process and the media hounds on their doorsteps sure as hell will make an impression.

i have met people like your neighbors and it still shocks me that people could be so lacking in perspective...and those that are manipulated by fear and ignorance are the logical prey of people who manipulate by fear, prejudice, ignorance, et al

those who are different are often singled out for the wrong reasons...it's happened to me too...it's a very creepy situation..but remember this if it helps: those martyred for their beliefs include scientists, artists, religeous leaders and etc...

and as time goes by the "shocking" thing that provoked such fear/hatred becomes accepted as just another thng...dr ruth created a sensation for discussing masterbation and what not...now everyone ....well....a lot of people are ok with the subject and it's no longer a big deal...

Do you have legal grounds to sue the HOA for discrimination? To me it would be same if they were to do this to you if you were black, muslim, gay, or whatever. What rights do they have to discrimiate? It is a federal law not to. They have no right as to who can live in a neighborhood. And YES I would take it to the press. I would have your attny with you when they do the story ... just in case something is not taken out of content which the media does do. I know you have friends but... sometimes things get screwed up no matter what.
