Glad to hear things are in full swing, I still think the slander, verbal and emotional abuse etc should be a couple things to charge old Debbie with.
As for the bias of your occupation- YOU are an AUTHOR, who has the right to say degrading things to you because you are an AUTHOR- doesnt matter what you write as far as Im concerned! Shit, has anyone heard of Soloman Rushdie (spelling is likely wrong here) He was teaching at a university local to us and basically was shunned because of his thoughts, I cant remember who he was dogging, but it had something to do with the brain capability of whites verses blacks - I THINK, Im old give me a brake! To me if you write something that may have a negative response then you better be willing to accept whats coming to you. However, even in the Bible, they had sex a time or two! This is getting old and quickly at that.

I'd love to see what's on her bookshelves - assuming she reads. Zealots can make case against ANY book. Are her kids reading Harry Potter? Are they watching Britney videos? Does she watch soap operas?
I'd be willing to bet that the only reason that that old pot has the gall to call the kettle black is because the 'kettle' is a semi-public figure. It's still amazing to me that she forces others into a poition where they have to defend themselves, yet the same standards don't apply to her.

Well...the update is that there really IS no update. Since my attorney sent out his very formal yet very nasty letters, Debbie has made a point of keeping her kids far, far away from my place. She has also made a point of making herself scarce. I see her car come and go, but she runs into the house and stays there...and doesn't even look in my direction.
The Director, however, is a different story. Apparently she is calling around to find out what she can do to have me ousted from this neighborhood, if those who are in positions on the city council are to be believed. I have no idea what she could do, or even where she would go with such a ridiculous request, but she's trying her damndest to make it happen.
But hey...if she wants to go to court over it, so be it. I can handle a good old-fashioned southern fight!
Besides, gives us litsters even more reason to party on the front lawn.

I think it would be neat if you put up lots of large signs on your property that say
"This area may be under video or audio surveillance."
Not that it IS, but that it MAY BE..... then you get them paranoid & they might push their luck...
If you are recording, it would be good to have such a sign within view of the camera, I think...

I'd be proud to have you as a neighbor anytime.
I can't put names to them right now, but I have read of at least 2 authors that wrote anything and everything they could to put food on the table and support their family. They eventually became well respected authors, but the semi-erotica they wrote kept the money coming in.
Any person that can play a guitar, write songs, stories, erotica, etc. has my respect (I'm jealous).
How have the nightmares been doing? Have the kids recovered from them yet? Just a thought, could you write a story based on the nightmares? It just might get somewhere as a childrens story.

Sheath, when I went through my own bogus investigation by CPS, we were told that any future claims by the same person would be treated as a criminal matter. I know we live in different states, but I bet the rationale is similar given the waste of administrative resouces such claims cause when they SHOULD be used to actually help children in true crisis.

And considering the CPS in Tennessee is going through some significant administrative changes and is desperately short on staff, I don't think they will put up with much. At ALL. Who could blame them?
I admit...I wasn't worried about the allegations, because I knew they were false, and I had so many people to back that up...but it scared the hell out of me just the same. I've heard the horror stories, you know? So hearing "it is closed" directly from the source just lifted a huge weight I didn't even know was there.

But the children are now adjusting quite well to the "new version" of normal, and nightmares have been very few and far between.
Interesting that you mention children's books...I have considered it in the past, and I have written a few for my own children...there is one self-published book out there that went out to friends at Christmas one year...but I have never tried my hand at a mainstream book. Could be something to look into...

I'm not positive...but I believe that in your case there are absoultely no grounds for any governmental elected board or council to do anything to you. In fact...if she should get any attention directed at you in this way...libel, invasion of privacy, and a few more things come to mind.
Also...would she be willing to pay the appraised price of your property to force the issue? That is what would happen. The government would have to condem your house...and I'm pretty sure that ain't gonna happen Sheath.
