And another wonderful experience today:
Dear Wood(something or other) bank,
Today I purchased a money order from you around 1pm. I put it in an envelope, and tapped the envelope to the door for my landlady. The wind tipped over the envelope and the money order fell out - I know that sounds like bullshit, but it happened. The landlady came, no money order, I looked around and found it in the dog's water dish! Okay, it's not that big of an issue, the landlady sees it and I let her know I have the other half (the receipt) and I'll just go to the bank and have them issue me a new one. I'll probably have to pay another 1.00 issuing fee, but I'll get her the money later that night, or first thing in the morning, if she's not around when I get home.
So I go to the same branch and I tell them my dilemma, then your associate tells me: Well there is nothing I can do for you...
WTF? (No I didn't say that, but I was thinking it)
Your associate then decides well, maybe she can call the office and find out what she needs to do. So we wait, and wait, and wait, then she tells me, okay, this is what I can do for you: In order for us to refund you this money, you'll have to enter into an agreement, the agreement fee is 25.00/non-refundable (of course) and we'll mail you a check for the amount of the money order - you'll get it in ten days!
My money order is only 5 1/2 hours old! It's my RENT!
I just want you to know how much I appreciate your policy and how much I enjoyed forking over another 25.00. Also, did you know my spouse is gone all next week, and I had to make sure he had enough money to use for food while he's gone - sure it'll be reimbursed later, but that's still money that I don't really have to spare, and you were rewarded for your wonderful services with money from my grocery budget - which was already low.
Thanks muches and have a wonderful flippin' day.
