Merry Christmas everybody!

For Christmas I bought a house (I kid you not LOL!) So I am going to be even scarcer than usual if you can believe that! It's a grand old house built for a big family and I fell in love the moment I entered it. It has five bedrooms and a separate floor just for the three girls...I kid you not. Anyway I am very excited and my closing date is the end of January (eep!!) So I will be crazy busy for the next little bit packing and such but I wanted to wish everyone and especially dearest Rose a very merry Christmas!

Leave it to the Common Wealth to find a way to extend the Party!!! It makes sense too. Christmas day with one set of in-laws or friends and Boxing day with the other set. Saves time and trouble.

I was just talking to the wife about how modern music, top 40, Dub step, techno and all teh rest is disposable, no more classics like " Stairway to Heaven", " Baba o Reilly", "Pinball wizard"," behind blue eyes", "Dazed and Confused", "Paint it Black", "Sympathy for the Devil" " The Devil went down to Georgia"or any of a hundreds other songs have stayed around for generations. I think even the Beatles are fading away with this generation. ( Thank God, I didn't like 'em)
SO Crank it up to 11 Goddess and JAM some 'Zepplin for me.

My daughter likes some of the older stuff. Her favorites are The Who as she loves Tommy.

Very low key but very enjoyable. We watched alot of Christmas movies while I prepared dinner. PJ kind of Christmas. How was your Christmas?

I have to agree Goddess, very low key. Opened presents, then just..... hung out. Didn't go to mass. Made some big old pork lions, sauerkraut and dumplings. I distracted and screwed up the loins, they were dry and tough, I pulled them out too late. Then about 2100 we all went to bed. Pretty boring really.

I think it's the lack of little kids. We're at that point where our youngest is a Teen, and teh oldest and his wife don't have kids.


But It's nice to escape to teh Oasis, hangin' out with an international crowd, might make a huge pitcher of Margaritas and slide into the tub for a nice soak and cigar. I have been using grapeseed oil. For my skin and for cooking. Shall I rub some in? Tresk, SMT, Goddess?

Only Mass I have been to was a funeral Mass. Church growing up was United Church or Presbyterian.

Not a fan of musicals. Not sure why. Same with ballet, I admire the dancers for their athleticism, and all that. Just like a good Stripper or Pole dancer. But I get bored after a while.

I am thinking of going to see The Bolshoi ballet on the big screen. Can't decide between Romeo and Juliet or the 100th Anniversary of The Rite Of Spring. I saw The Bolshoi live doing Romeo and Juliet in 1986 so maybe Rite of Spring. I will try to drag hubby as he has never seen a ballet lol. I have only seen a few musicals live, Ain't Misbehavin and A Chorus Line.

Nothing wrong with that. I have all Rodger/Hammerstein movie musicals on DVD and How To Suceed In Business Without Really Trying/A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum. My brother had Mame and Cabaret Broadway Cast recordings. I had the movie version of Cabaret on vinyl. Oh and Ain't Miss Behavin Broadway Cast recording.

Hugh Jackman doesn't have the singing voice of Colm Wilkinson but I think it works very well in the more subtle enviroment of film. Here is one of my favorite versions of Bring Him Home

We went and saw it too! It followed the musical...not the book, but was better than I expected!

Congrads on the JOB!! Last night I was drinking THE Glenlivet but I could go for the Glenfiddich too. I mixed Bailey's Carmel cream with some Chi tea and Mocha Kalua. Very nice.

SO A celebratory scotch and cigar in the tub with you Trisk. Maybe a back rub later, I have been using grapeseed oil in cooking and for a moisturizer. Awesome stuff. Should lube up what ails ya!!! A little grape seed oil for slickness then the pearl necklace trick.. You deserve it!!!

Aw Riight, I gotta go. Got a bathroom to clean. The wife and I got tired of the sink not draining so I pulled the drain stop and used an old bottle brush to get it cleared. Pulled about a six inch clog of hair and " stuff" out!! But I got drain goo sprayed everywhere.

By the way, the hair that I have left on my head is only about a quarter f an inch long, so guess who the culprit was? And she ain't saying nuthin.


SMT, Got a nice springy whip handy? Maybe I'll do a little handcuff and interrogation later. Hmmmm that makes cleaning a little more fun.
