Looks like the Midwest snow storm jumped the pond last night. About an inch down on the ground now. Snow blower usage SMT? You sound like my aunt up in the U.P. I Pointed out a snow blower in the PX the other day to my son. It was a small one. My dad has a monster one that he's had for almost 20 years.

I just use a shovel and a wife and kids to keep the drive way clear.

Ugh! 12 inches of blowing snow! Oh...I do have the largest snowthrower on the block. Yes, I'm compensating...LOL! Two-stage, multi-speed...it's a beast!
No kids and my soon-to-be no husband isn't allowed to touch my snowthrower. Although a wife may be in the future!

Now, it does get cold in teh desert, and I have had snow in Iraq and of course in Afghanistan. So, lets adjourn to the club house here at the oasis and see what fun we can find with bear skin rugs, spiced wine and a nice fire place. Let the wind scream and howl out side, lets here what can whistle, snap, moan and shout in here!!

I love Boxing Day when I get it as a holiday. A day to relax after the big feast day or if your brave to go shopping for deals. I will be working a short shift then off of work for s bit.

For Christmas I bought a house (I kid you not LOL!) So I am going to be even scarcer than usual if you can believe that! It's a grand old house built for a big family and I fell in love the moment I entered it. It has five bedrooms and a separate floor just for the three girls...I kid you not. Anyway I am very excited and my closing date is the end of January (eep!!) So I will be crazy busy for the next little bit packing and such but I wanted to wish everyone and especially dearest Rose a very merry Christmas!

That is great news!!! We are having our first Christmas Day in our new place. Been here since mid September.

Leave it to the Common Wealth to find a way to extend the Party!!! It makes sense too. Christmas day with one set of in-laws or friends and Boxing day with the other set. Saves time and trouble.

I was just talking to the wife about how modern music, top 40, Dub step, techno and all teh rest is disposable, no more classics like " Stairway to Heaven", " Baba o Reilly", "Pinball wizard"," behind blue eyes", "Dazed and Confused", "Paint it Black", "Sympathy for the Devil" " The Devil went down to Georgia"or any of a hundreds other songs have stayed around for generations. I think even the Beatles are fading away with this generation. ( Thank God, I didn't like 'em)
