Disciples to the Forgotten

Agnimita

IC: The human let lose another flurry of slashes at one golem, while the other two where taking considerable ware and tare. Yasaedra being on one golem had lured one golem to strike the other leaving a shiny blue dent on it, now having rolled behind the denter, the other golem continued its pursuit by slamming to fists in the other golem blocking its way. That golem fell to its back and didn't seem able to get back up.

"I think you stumbled onto something useful."

The tremendous thud of the crashing golem shook the ground, leaving a well pleased drow smiling as it did not get up.

Only problem was now it was going to be harder to get the remaining two to hit each other now that there was one target a piece.

"I'm going to move around behind yours to get mine to smack it," she shouted as she dodged another pair of fists, then began to work her way around to the one on Agnimata.

Agnimita

IC: "All right then." It is seldom that a plan worked so smothly and it was definitely refreshing. The drow ran behind the one Agnimita was working on and the lithe human kept her's busy was an onslaught of slashes and some agile moves. As the second golem reached the threatened zone of agnimita it let loose a slam at Agnimita sending her to the ground and causing her to drop her sword.

"Okay between two golems was a bad place to be." Agnimita started to roll across the ground out of the golems reach, unfortunately she left one sword behind.

Agnimata's dodging of her golem's attacks unfortunately brought her around between the two golems instead of having her golem and Yasaedra between her and Yasaedra's golem.

She swore as the golem's fist hit Agnimata, picking up a fragment from the broken floor where a fist hit, she chucked it at "her' golem, getting it's attention again, and luring it back around behind the other while dodging it's attacks.

Finally getting it into place, she once more jumped onto the back of the other golem, waiting to jump off as "her" golem swung.

IC: The human didn't waste time she immediately ran and grabbed her second sword as the drow distracted the golems. Mean while the golem giving piggy back rides started to have a problem with balance the result of several slashes to its legs. It began to fall over even as the second golem reached back gathering force for the coming slam of its fist.

Yasaedra was surprised as the golem began to tip over. She lept a fraction of a second too late as a result, the mithral fist caught her side, breaking a rib or two and causing her to spin wildly as she crashed to the floor.

The other golem fared even worse, the fist smashing into its back and making it's fall even more harsh.

Damn that hurt inspite of her resistance to forceful damage. However, even as she rose, her wound began to heal.

She stood ready to dodge as she waited to see if the one would be getting back up.

IC: Now with two golems on the floor the battle seemed to be reversed although it would be a mistake to say our enemies where vanquished. "Suddenly the odds are in our favor."

Agnimita put herself on the opposite side of the golem then Yasaedra. "You hit high I hit low?"

The golem took another pair of swings at her, not caring that it just wasted both of it's fellows. She flipped backwards and up a wall, and jumped off it, DML flashing outward, shattering one of the eyes. She continued over it's shoulder and landed behind it.

Sorry about this,
she sent to DML, then whirled around and slashed at the place in the back where the other golem had hit it. A shallow gash appeared on the place.

Agnimita

IC: Agnimita closed quickly and less agile then the woman. She then let lose a number of slashes against one of the golems knees, leaving two scars on the mythrl joint. "Keep up the pace and it will crumble, of that I am sure."

Yasaedra delivered three more slashes to the damaged area, each leaving a shallow gash in the crumpled area.

This will not do... she thought to her self, aiming her next series of slashes at the left shoulder joint, leaving one good scar on the joint.

The golem whirled about, both fists swinging. She dodged the first, but the second slammed into her left arm, sending her sprawling.

Agnimita

IC: Agnimita kept on slashing at the golems left knee. "Its legs ought to give out soon if we put enough pressure on them. Its a matter of leverage and all." At that point agnimita started humming an odd havit she picked up some time ago, perhaps she was feeling confident.

She quickly rolled away, her arm hurting, but already healing. The golem took a pair of swings at Agnimata, which she dodged. Yasaedra took three more slashes at the shoulder joint, leaving another scar.

"I hate golems, especially ones made of metal," she grumbled.

Agnimita

IC: "I am not surprise, the first time I saw you I said to myself. 'I bet she likes fighting bone golems' I myself prefer a gold golem that way its easy to cut even with out adamantine." A third of the golems left knee was gone now. "Now hit it high and hit it hard!"

She lept onto it's shoulder, turned around and slashed downward as hard as she could, kicking off it as her blade struck it in the weakened area.

Landing nimbly, she spun around and charged it, delivering another slash to the back.

IC: The human watched in surprise as the drow sprang around the room in a manner more accustomed to monks. The drow certainly was limber, or perhaps a stiff golem made her look limber in comparison. At this point the golem had very little balance and was wobbling in the manner of a drunk drawf.

Agnimita ran over and slammed it in the back with both swords, that was enough to knock it down. "Good work, you really got it off balance. Now should we hunt down my brother?"

Yasaedra looked upon DML, running her hand along the edges, pleased to note that the Dance of the Sword she had performed before accepting the mission had warded her companion from any damage by attacking the golems.

Returning her attention to Agnimata, "Yes, let us find him and leave," she said, pausing only to pick up few pieces of mithral that had broken off the golems where they had punched each other.

Agnimita

IC: "Then lets head down stairs. I am sure if he isn't here we can find clues to where he is at the very least." The pair moved down stairs and opened the door into the main room of the floor, a library.

On the wall was a red shield perhaps the artifact Regalid, Agnimita's brother, was sent to recover. Off the side of the room was a massive book, on the table next to it was a half eaten meal that appeared stale. In the center of the room was a large cockroach man, a thorciasid. Its menacing presence was reflected in a mirror that covered the ceiling.

Yasaedra brought Dark Maiden's Light to the ready. In her experience, bugs of any sort were trouble, even the formians. While this was not enough to attack the unknown creature, it was enough to go on the defensive.

She was about to try and communicate with it when DML interrupted her thoughts.

It means to eat us, she warned, and watch out for the arms and antennae, all it has to do is touch you to weaken you. And it will attempt to cocoon you from a distance.

Yasaedra relaid the warnings to Agnimata.

Just in time to throw herself aside to avoid the first shot of cocooning resin.

Agnimita

IC: The human darted to the side with her great reflexes. "Lovely we can make a silk shirt." Agnimita was about to step into the room but stopped hesitant. "Something isn't right about that room," she declared and fallowed by saying "wish I knew what" under her breath. She clearly wasn't about to enter it and ducked around the corner moving away from the door.

Yasaedra drew her bow, slid around the corner and took two shots at the bug. It nimbly dodged her first shot and the second simply bounced off harmlessly.

It shot another batch of resin at her, sending her ducking back behind the corner.

"Well, it can dodge and it's tough." she informed Agnimata.

It wants us to look up,
DML informed her, into a mirror. It knows if we do, it may loose the meals we represent, but it will regain some of its lost companions.

"Great, we have a mirror of lifetrapping on the ceiling, with more of them trapped inside. And it would like us to look up and take the place of two of it's fellows if we aren't obliging to be eaten."

...and it saw a human male matching Regalid's description get trapped in the mirror...

"Damn it all to the Abyss..." she muttered.

Agnimita

IC: "And now is the time to announce my plan... We kill it and search the room for clues to my brothers where abouts. All with out going into the room until I have a good search."

Yasaedra fired two more arrows, with similar results.

"Arrows seem to be a poor choice, at least for me. And most of my spells are unsuited for this situation. Which means luring it over here seems to be the beast option."

She fired two more ineffective arrows and dodged another wad of resin.

Agnimita

IC: "Perhaps its wise to not let it have a target by ducking in and out of the door way. That way it must approach." The human suggested hopeing the idea would work.

"Sounds better that this."

She took another shot, then retreated back about ten feet, making sure that her retreat was audible.

Agnimita

IC: The human started whistling and drew her swords slowly. She waited away from the door, her eyes watching unblinking. The situation was tense not knowing when the roach would come or if he would.
