DLL's anything goes thread

omgggggggggggggggg!!!

Wanderer, Pengy and any other true homosapien (that translates to ENGLISHMAN !! ;) ) Just read the latest BBC news and Jonny is OUT of the upcoming rugby matches against Canada , South Africa and Australia :( :( :(

That's bad enough , but me and my mouth have brought on a cardiac arrest to my beloved wallet because of the SA game !!

I just hope Charlie Hodgeson has got what it takes.......

I'm off for a beer and a valium...

Catch you all tomorrow team , enjoy your day

Pete

consider this......For the fourth consecutive season, MacInnis won the hardest shot competition, winning on his first attempt of 100.1 mph, edging a 100 mph blast by Philadelphia Flyers left winger John LeClair. It was the sixth time in the event's 10 years MacInnis has won, and it marked his second-hardest winning shot. The record of 105.2 mph was set by Al Iafrate in 1993.

some hockey trivia for ya

I presume that's ice hockey you're talking about, because of course there is field hockey as well, which is played badly in the UK though I recall we have won the odd medal at the olympics in the past.

I'll let the French Guy answer that - it may be amusing!

"manche" : sleeve (of a jacket)
"La Manche" : the Channel

also means set or round in a game

In other words "The English Channel", but La Manche does not translate as that so I don't understand why you call it that. :D

Bloody Hell - I ran off to read the article too - must be one hell of a bruise - out for 4 to 6 weeks!!!

Personally I wouldn't bet on England winning anything at the moment in rugby at least.

Yep, the man who won us the World Cup, with that very kick, great sporting moment. It was all set up for him to do it to, the way he'd been built up before the tournament.

Well... it seems we're going to win another Grand Slam this year...
