Missingmeds said:Good evening DLL.
I think I am going to head for some ice cream and the chaise. I have three chapters of Consumer Economics to get read before Saturday morning.
Have a good evening everyone. I will probably check back in off and on this evening.

dcraz said:Good evening to you MT.
DLL, I cannot believe you pulled yourself away from the election coverage to log on!![]()
MM, be sure to stop back bye to say good night.![]()
MT_Pitcher said:Hey dc..
Good to have you back from trip...
Been too quiet around here.. No troublemakers....![]()

dcraz said:MT,
You calling me names! Wait a minute. As I recall, this thread was started by DLL for breaking rules everwhere else. So maybe we need to be trouble makers to call this home.
Ok, I accept your trouble maker label and will consider it a compliment.
You think I cause trouble here, you should see the look on their faces when I walk into City Hall! I must be doing a good job of stirring things up, because they know me by name now!!!

babydoll2u said:sneaking in here to say hello to all.
DLL... please pm me your cell # again, or call me again.
I really need to talk .... when you have time
thanks dear

Peteslaw2 said:Oh, DLL, I forgot about Ram. Add him to the list too.![]()
ram1_2 said:Dear bean! I am somewhat honoured, since I am but a tiny cog in DLL's well-oiled machine (what a lovely juxtaposition, the words, 'well-oiled' and 'DLL' !)
However, a kiss?
Ahem!

slowndeep said:Heyup Ram , Pete , my guess is today's been pretty hectic over there!!
Absolutely stunning morning in Cape Town , summer is here - bring on the cricket!!!![]()

ram1_2 said:Heyup, lad!
It HAS been a bit rough...........
It's been a while since I saw the Table Cloth! Where are you, Newlands, Rondebosch? Looks like the wicket will take spin, our kid...............(I played for 21 seasons)

Peteslaw2 said:I hope your team wins. It looks like Bush will win this election, at the moment. That is a bigger game. The younger folks have a lot more in this election than I do. Good luck. Read history, for instance the 1930's.
slowndeep said:I'm at UCT matey!!I've got my ticket for the test starting Jan 2nd
Harmy and Freddie will stir up the locals !! I've been a cricket fantatic for nigh on 40 years and it's SO good to see England coming right - it's been a hellish 18 years or so !!
My feelings are England to win the series 2-0 with 3 draws - I just can't see SA taking 20 wickets in any of the tests.
Durban is the best result wicket here now - Newlands is a little pacier than about 8 years ago , but Wanderers is dead flat now - very disappointing track
How long is it since you were out here - CT has changed , but the lovely ladies haven't !!![]()

Back then, the voters were simply able to see that Hardy was simply wrong and it didn't matter who replaced him. Even an elitist FDR. Now there is apparently alot more going on. In MI for example, alot of folks lost jobs, and yet they will vote for the president that headed the administration, that didn't do much about it because they thought women's right to abortion, or men marrying men, or women marringing women for that matter, was more important than jobs. Go figure.MT_Pitcher said:I wish I thought it was an FDR instead of a Hoover getting in...![]()

But I used to LOVE the sherry............and the ladies!![]()
Sherry still very passable mate - and the reds are terrific this last few years

MT_Pitcher said:I wish I could figure..
I fear the end of democracy for a while anyway, probably my life time.
Only to be replaced by theocracy and/or corporationocracy.
It may take 20 years to undo the damage that this night may reap.

I could turn out a passable offbreak, but was medium pace swing/seamer usually....HOWEVER, I spent most of the time behind the timbers (and batting anywhere from 1 to 4).
slowndeep said:I hear you MT....there's not much cheering in Southern Africa either mate. I'm gobsmacked that the American people can vote in someone of Bush's intellect - my retriever is cleverer than him and he's one dumb dog !!![]()
