Do you really know what you want?

Boy, is that dangerous to say to this group....

I said "loved ones". :p

(Kidding, I love some of you, too. A bit. Maybe. Perhaps some more than others. Ok, maybe one.) :p

What I really want for christmas, I am already getting. My parents made it all possible.

This christmas my children will be coming to visit me for 3 weeks. I haven't seen them since January 13th and miss them so much.

I am also getting a few gifts, but none of them really matter to me, definately not compared to my kids. Then again, I really have never been one to want material things. If I lost everything in a fire right now, I would just shrug and move on.. None of my possessions are that important to me (well, besides photos of my kids) even my dragon statue collection.. when it all comes down to it, I would honestly prefer to live alone on an island, away from it all.

you don't have to love me, as long as you'll pretend you do...

or you can pretend to be the naughty lil' girl who has to make it up to Santa Bel for her behavior this year...

Tolyk, I'm very happy for you too. I recall most of what you've said about your children so I know this is a wonderful 'gift'. Just have fun with 'em, eh?

Best wishes, Perdita :)

I plan on it :) I'm going to take my son sledding for the first time. We're going to build some snowmen, and a snow fort.. all kinds of stuff. Unfortunately my daughter is too young right now to enjoy the snow as much.. but my son is really looking forward to it.

Here is the snowman we built 2 years ago.

I've been doing some thinking lately...a lot of thinking and perhaps too much.
After reading the holiday stories and seeing my first Christmas without being jaded after working in retail I noticed a bit more of a spiritual thing going on, either that or my insanity is merely playing with my head.

I thought, What do I really want for Christmas?

Does anyone know what they really Want this year? is it a material object? an emotion? financial stability? strength...spirit or just a new pair of shoes?

Curious is all.......feel free to hijack for your own amusement.

Abs....trying to be philisophical.

The ability to move forward and forget the past but still somehow maintain the wisdom my 28 years has given me.

Basically, I don't want to be destined to repeat the same mistakes over, but I also want the courage to take more risks without as many jaded assumptions.

If not, I could really use a new toaster.

I won't say there aren't material things that would interest me, but nothing stands out any more. Oddly, besides more of the same old (new books, Cds, movies) nothing really appeals to me. Any more, it seems like there's nothing special Judging from the posts of other, "more mature," members, I'm guessing I'm just doing a little growing up.

Not too much though, as what I would say I really want is to have her back. I doubt that's going to happen, but so far as I can see, that's pretty much what would make me the most happy. Yeah, I'm the sucker of the bunch....

I think the Earl could satisfy you in this. P. ;)

OK I'm a 'newbie' to the posts.. but I wanted to put my 2 cents in here also.

What I want the most is to have financial stabilty and to find the one true love of mine that accepts moth myself and my daughter for who we are.

If I'm not able to find him.. hell at least a good piece of ass will do.

I just want to be loved. Is that so wrong?

Only if you pay for it . . . and if there are midgets in leather carrying video-cameras involved. :)
