I don't use social media outside of this place. It has everything one needs: anger, hate speech, love speech, likes, fumes, and four-letter words that emphasize the aforementioned categories. My day is complete just logging into Literotica.

I’m still on a lot of them, though with the same people. I’m less online in general because I’m helping the aged relatives quite a bit, along with everything else.
On a daily basis I check a bunch of places but often don’t do more than like posts. I’m on a bunch of chat/message apps with mostly rl friends too.

I don't use it, never have unless you count leaving an occasional comment on a You Tube video. I'd like to believe people are leaving social media, but I don't see it. People who left X when Musk bought it, simply went to other media sites. The biggest problem in Gen Z's life right now "Oh, no, they want to ban Tik Tok"

Older people are just as bad. Still airing their personal business all over Facebook still can't go fifteen minutes without seeing how many like their latest picture of what they had for dinner has...

Its the biggest addiction of our time, and responsible for most of the hate and divide in society.

One difference I see is there is far more hypocrisy from the "progressives" who are the perfect example of the racism, sexism, and hate, that they claim they stand against. The right has their issues but owns it by just saying "its how it should be" which is no defense, but not a denial. The left runs from mirrors because of what they would see in them.
