Thank you, Liar. I think I can speak for most Americans in the forum when I say how good it feels to hear that.

Personally, I've been feeling just awful about the war, the lying, the childishly self-centric worldview, the illiterate goon who somehow won the right to represent my country to the rest of the planet and made it his mission to revive "the ugly American" persona of the Vietnam era. I needed this reminder that despite it all, our friends have not forgotten what America is really all about: our big ass!

Living on this side of the border, it's easy to take for granted the sheer enormity of our collective national ass.

I'm done. I know that people like you can't carry on a discussion of differing views without resorting to nastiness, so I shouldn't have bothered to begin with, but there's something that makes me call a bigot a bigot. If you'd ever, ever been discriminated against in your lifetime, you might feel the same way, but you'll never know how it feels, and you don't care, and I can't make you see how destructive that type of attitude is.

That said, I will say this one last thing: I will never, ever buy into the concept that everyone in this country has to do things exactly the same way. I do believe those here should learn to speak the language, but they have to be taught, and that takes people willing to help, and you're not one of those. Diversity is a wonderful thing, but you don't see that either. I'm very sorry my darker skin bothers you, and someone speaking a language you don't understand makes you feel insecure, but that's life. I'm only thankful that the group of people that are like you are a dying breed. In the end, you're the one that has to live with your choices, not me.

Lets get a few things cleared up here:

1. You came out shooting from the hip from the very start in this particular thread. Why...because you have issue in regards to who you are. You see a position you do not like, and you went out and INSTANTLY played the race card. I have not insulted a minority in my posts, I have not stated I disliked people of color, I have not said I hate gay people or any other minority or ethnic group. You had your own BUTTONS pushed and instanted reacted from an emotional unreasoned position and it all went down hill from there.

2. Trust me, I have experienced being discriminated against in my life, and I do know the pain of being a societal outcast. But then, you are too close minded to even think that a reality.

3. You see me as a mean spirited, selfish unhelping prick...shrug. You do not know me very well at all. I have strong political views about almost everything, including illegal immigrants. News Flash here, we have more than enough people that need our help in this country right now without taking on the additional burden of those coming here illegally. I used to live in South Eastern Ohio in one of the poorest parts of that state. 30 percent of the county lived at or below the poverty level, and though there was little help for them, our nation wants to bend over backwards in working to help those illegally in this country...yes, I have a very serious issue with that. Have any clue how many children are abused each and every year in this country? There is hardly any money available for stopping that epidemic, and yet the bleeding heart liberals sure want to make sure our government spends billions printing out forms in various assorted languages of the world so that those here illegally can read the forms since they are too lazy to learn to speak English. In short, I have a completely different agenda then you do politically, and I spend my efforts, time and money helping those that I deem deserving of it, and that group who gets my help is not the illegal aliens streaming into our country.

4. Call me crazy, but I find it odd that our federal government gives certain groups of aliens coming into this country liberal grants to purchase homes, but there is no such program for those who are poor and already here to own their own homes. Odd we have more sympathy, and more of a desire to help those illegally here than we do to help those already here, and deserving of a hand up.

5. Learning to speak English...yes, that is a serious issue with me. If you are going to come to America, then learn to speak our language. When I went to Japan, I took the time and the effort to work at being able to speak there language. I did not go there and expect them to accomadate me, I did not expect them to make the effort to learn English so that they could understand my wants and needs....IT WAS NOT THEIR JOB, nor should it be our job to learn Spanish, Japanese or any other language so that we can communicate with those coming here from other lands. I am going to Italy next year, and you can bet I will take the time to learn some Italian, and if and when I go to Spain, I'll take the time and make the effort to learn some Spanish.

6. Dark skin bothering me...that is funny. My dislike of you has nothing to do with your skin color. My best friend who lives three doors down is black. His wife who I also adore is white. They are over here for dinner at least twice a month. We have other friends from just about every ethnic group you could imagine, and some of them are poor, and some of them are not. I like them not for the color of their skin, but because we hold to the same value systems, believe in and support the same causes. I know all about diversity, and support it...I'm bisexual, and a basic fact of being bisexual, is that we catch hell from a lot of people who are heterosexual, as well as from a lot of people who are homosexual because they believe we should make a choice. I wonder when diversity will truly apply to ones sexuality as well as ones skin color, as I sure would love to have my turn about being fully accepted instead of having to hide a part of who I am because people would not be accepting of it.

I knew that you were bisexual, yet never once did I bring it up. Why? Again, because it has absolutely nothing to do with what was being discussed. You entire set of arguements are null and void as you based everything you stated in the thread on a false premise. If you say that certain minorities groups are deserving of some help in reaching parity, I can agree with that. However, if you read what I said in regards to not wanting to in any way shape or form to support illegal aliens, and interpret it to mean I am against helping minorities, there is no real debate.

Is there a good chance that you and I might agree on say the subject of strengthing our borders to stem the flow of illegal immigrants....maybe on some points. Do I see us agreeing on how illegals already here are treated and or looked upon from a legal status....probably not. Good, bad or ugly, from my point of view, if you are illegally here, you have no status, end of discussion, no right to a hearing, simply detain you, coral you, and arrange transportation out of the country as soon as possible, and if you are pick up a second third or more times, an ever increasing prison sentence before being deported. Harsh it is, but it would stem the tide.

However, that discussion NEVER occurred, because every point you were trying to make was already based upon a false presumtion of what I had said.
