Dom lessons in here! No subbies allowed.

IV's are kind of evil things. They hurt and drive you crazy with the beeping.

Well, to be fair there was a group of subbies that appeared when the cookies came out. They pounced on those cookies like a rat on a cheeto! :catroar:

I dislike being compared to a rat, thank you. I'm FAR too hefty to be a rat, more like a well kept house cat.

You're IV beeps?

Dude, what are they giving you?

Share?

My IV in hospital beeped.

The new pumps for the IVs beep.

If the bag is empty or the line is occluded, etc etc...

Yeah, everytime I tried to push myself back in the the bed, mine beeped cos moving my hand bent the tube. It also went insane when I unplugged it from the electricity to go to the bathroom! Nurse came running in going "let me check it!!!" and I'm going "Its fine, I just need to pee!!".

Ohh so you're one of those eh? Prolly on bedrest, foley cath in, and jumping up all the time to go pee.

Technically. Yes, Your Samminess. The lingo used however, is "Hey, the IV is beeping. Somebody want to turn that off?"

I always say 'that thing is beeping at me again. make it stop or I will.'

Not now I'm not, but I used to be when I was in hospital with my gall bladder.

I was severely dehydrated and they had a pump on my IV to make sure the fluids were pushed into me.

heh, last time I had an iv in me i screamed at the nurse because she tried to put straight potassium through the iv in my ankle and it burned like crazy. Liquid acid in my damned vein -.-

lol...This made me chuckle, especially since we never say the IV is beeping at my hospital. Actually who knows, they might on the floors but we don't in the OR, the docs usually glance over the drapes and glare at the anesthetist that's working and growl at them to make the damned pump quit beeping.

~sigh~ Much as I'm enjoying my maternity leave and being with my daughter I'm looking forward to getting back into an OR too. I miss my work.

So how is everyone...what have I missed?

*wanders in to make milkshakes for everyone*

University + full-time work is looking like a worse and worsererer idea every minute. I am currently not doing a 2000 words assignment that's due on Wednesday. I slept in until 10 AM today because I'm just so exhausted all the time.

Ooooooo, milkshakes!!! Thank you.

Working full time and going to school is hard but it's worth it in the end. I had to do it myself for a couple of years and can remember how wiped out I was all the time. You'll find a way to manage it SI.

I'm getting about 4 hours of sleep a night, and am forcing myself to stay up during the way cause I think eventually at night I have to fall asleep... right?

I have tried so many things, now I got 4 options left that I can think of.

1, drop the med that I think is doing it
2, add sleeping pills
3, drink myself to sleep
4, use a hammer

I am so glad its the weekend

Whats your little girl like Caela?
