LOL.. GOOD for you! and you have my prayers for as long as you need them  :rose:

{{{Babydoll}}} :rose: Thank you very much :) . It doesn't hurt quite as much today, so something must be getting better. Have a wonderful day.

Stryder: Sorry about the spill. As the amulance chasers say, "if you got a phone, you got a lawyer". Call if you need me. Btw, that post from DLL? Did she tell you she drives a Denali?

Thanks Pete. Not to the lawyer stage yet, but I will keep it in mine. As for DLL's car, I don't even know what a Denali is. :D

Stryder, I'm sorry to hear of the accident. How are you feeling? I hope better and better each day. Giving you virtual hugs. :rose:

Also, I'm heeding your words, if I need to talk with someone I pull over. Frankly I'd rather not be so accessible so I turn the dumb thing off.

{{{Cathleen}}} :rose: Thank you and yes, doing better today. My foot and ankle aren't quite as puffy. Not aching quite as much either. Perhaps I am just getting used to it.

As for cell phones, turning them off while driving is a good idea. Anything important will be left on voicemail that you can answer when you stop. Good idea :)

Stryder,

Sorry to hear about the accident. While it was not intentional, it hardly sounds like an accident huh?

Good to hear no major broken bones. Being laid up and prevented from riding, running and climbing will be rough. I had a major injury last fall that kept me down and it just about drove me nuts!

Best wishes on a speedy and complete recovery!

DC

Thanks dc. People in a hurry, driving, not paying attention. Is that ever an accident?

Yes, the not being able to run will and is driving me crazy. Wonder if I can get compensated for the health and mental affects of getting out of shape. Probably not, since that is the normal state for most. Hopefully I will be running again in a couple weeks. It may be a bit longer before I am on a bike again. Take care

Take them off??? But you know how sexy they make you look. ;)

I don't know you, but I'm very sorry to hear about your accident, and I'm glad you're doing better.

I hate people that drive and yak on the phone at the same time. I'm very safety conscious when I'm driving, and I can't understand people that can't take care of their calling before or after they finish driving. A very small percentage of those calls are actual emergencies that require immediate action. If only there were a way to separate those calls from the normal fluff of everyday conversation.

Thank you for your kind words Typo Fu Master. Also, nice to meet you :rose: . I do agree, although I have been guilty as well, answering a call. I am turning the phone off from now on. I will check for voice messages when I get to where I am going. Although I have no problems with the handfree devices. That would work too.

Take care :) :rose:

I say stay on that soap box. I've never been in an accident, but many near misses due to the idiots that HAVE to take or make those oh-so-important phone calls. I do not answer my phone while I am driving. I will pull over or wait until I get where I'm going before I pull it out of my purse.

I'm very glad that you survived the hit. Since you're in such great shape, perhaps you'll be on a new bike sooner than later. :rose:

Ok, I lied, bumping again (well, my foot hurts)

{{{Stryder}}} Sorry to hear of your accident :( Take care and my wishes for you to get up and running soon

And yeah, turn off your phone, any call can wait until you are parked in a sensible place.

I dunno you, but I'm glad you weren't hurt worse and I'll bump your message because it's an important one.

there were some stories in the cincinnati enquirer a couple of months ago about a little boy that was killed after being hit by a teenager that was sending a text message while driving. as if that weren't bad enough, what really bothered me is that the little dickhead at work I was talking to about this little incident didn't seem to think the teen was doing anything wrong. well, except for not being a good enough multitasker. grrrrr....

Thank you for the encouragement, but I don't want to wear out my welcome.

Yes, survived, but going nuts not being able to run. I have begun looking for a new bike, but I loved my green two-wheeler. It is very depressing looking at it. Weird how you can get attached to an inanimate object.
