Duct Tape and it's many uses....

There is the "Red Green Show" on PBS, the same guys who do that did a movie about Duct tape and it is simple but funny. You should get him that one. They come up with all kinds of stupid uses for duct tape.

Just think what this world would be without duct tape, velcro and post-it notes! LOL :D

We had duct tape around the water pipes in the old house I bought about 2 years ago. (The house had no plumbing or electricity when it was built in the 1800s, the most recent pipe work done about 1940, lol) It worked great until I could find a plumber to come replace them.... the tradespeople here generally pass on old houses, they only want to do new construction because it's easy. Grrrrrr! I have to pay mileage to get plumbers, electricians and my boiler man from outside of my county.

I need that book Arden....It's sounds like a life saver....smile

It's great that you bought a house from the 1800's...that's so cool to fix it up....I always wanted to do that or a log home...but I know it can be a lot of hard work....but rewarding also...

Awh! Velcro is another life saver invention...maybe a thread on Velcro Native...smile

I'm not sure if this is a valid use or not, but hell, it works!!

Damn Woody:eek: .....just opened that when my boss walked in....he almost fainted...from excitment or shock...not sure:rolleyes:

I told him a friend was doing an experiment in gravity for school:D

Hummmm duct tape is a wonderful thing:D :D

I also got a creek in my neck from looking at it upside down:rolleyes:

dang woody, you should warn a person before you post things like that.

now that is definitely not what i had in mind....

If you have an emergancy and need one quick, You can take a roll of duct tape and twist it as you unroll it and make a cord for tying things with. It's pretty tough that way. I've used it to tie things on the back of a truck for tranporting them a pretty good ways and it held great.

Kikimosa that dog is just to cute...i have heard other people say that they have done that, only don't you roll it with the sticky side in?

You can roll it yes, but twisting it puts the sticky side mostly inside and makes it stronger because the 'threads' in it aren't running in a straight line then. Makes it harder to tear. Try a piece of it both ways and see. The roll can be torn even though it's not easy. The twisted will take quite a bit more preasure before it gives.

Thanks, that's my baby. I always seem to end up with the weird ones. My sister gave him to me. Said she took one look and knew it was my kind of dog. The whilte parts of him has hair about 3/4 on an inch long and there is tiny bits of black hair on the brown patches around his neck. The rest of the brown is naked.

You can also use duct tape to remove pet hair from your clothes. For as little hair as he has that dang dog sheds worse then any other dog I've owned.

Oh and his name is Knuckles Malone, lol.

psstttt, kikimosa, don't tell anyone but i like the runts and the weird ones, they are always the most fun....

i thought that you meant twist it (the duct tape i mean) but wanted to make sure.

They deffinately have the most personality, that's for sure, lol. With this one I never need an alarm clock. When he thinks it's time to get up, he gets out from under the covers and sticks his nose in my ear and barks. Very effective.

I bought this cheap duct tape about a year ago, and it's still giving off volatile fumes. So....my duct tape can give you a decent buzz if you aren't careful. Or, you are. ;)

Hey you Stud...

I said one *could*, not that I *did*. ;) And I believe I got it at the local grocery store. Nothing special, until I opened it.. *whew*

I need the few brain cells I have left.

don't ya'll just love it when they don't put warning labels on things like duct tape that can develop a odor after it has been on the shelf so long?
