Okay, being in Iowa, I was temporarily living in Dumbfuckistan. I am not, however, by birth, a Dumbfuckistani. I'm an American.

However, since I just got an apartment in my little neck of Dumbfuckistan and this is my home for a few months at least, I suppose I'm kind of a Dumbfuckistani.

However, I did NOT vote for Bush.

Off topic: Am I the only one who thinks a great newscaster line would be:

"The Dumbfuckistani government..."

Read it in that deadpan they always use for politics and add whatever generic "commenting" "deciding" "apologizing" or "sending out hearts and prayers" you want.

It has a good ironic cadence.

I loved when the Onion reported the relocation of all warring ethnic factions from across the globe to a new homeland to encourage their peace and harmony. It was called "Ethniklashistan."

And just as a side comment ... thank goodness posting a picture labelling a large chunk of the United States as "dumbfuckistan" utterly lacks the potential to be hurtful and insulting. So much less divisive than, say, a list of people who are pleasant to be around.
