Just finished Elizabethtown. I don't think everyone will like it, but I loved it and it was exactly what I needed tonight.

I loved that movie. The music alone was reason enough to make me fall in love with it.

best of the best

I just bought 'best of the best' at Tescos for £2.97. Very excited - it's the male equivalent of dirty dancing. For me it will always be the best karate film ever - I creid at the end when the korean dude said 'I'll be your brother'. OH, it's amazing!

I doubt anybody else would like it though, unless you're a twelve-year old boy, which I sometimes suspect that you are.

Yeah, I was thinking when I watched it that I'd love to have the cd's she made for him for the road trip. :)

"Saving Face" with Joan Chen and her daughter.
A romantic/comedy about a woman, her daughter, family traditions...and some lesbian sex.....aside....it was a feel good movie. :rose:

I love mixed CDs period, so yeah, I was quite jealous.
And now that my CD burner is gone. :( It's so sad!

The most recent thing I've watched was Midnight Express. Very very good stuff. Oh, and Almost Famous for the 39384394th time. Such a good movie...

And for my last words...I'M ON DRUGS! No wait, my last words...I dig music...I'M ON DRUGS!

And of course...

I AM A GOLDEN GOD. :D

It should be waiting for me in my mailbox tonight. I probably won't watch it until my gf comes over on Saturday though.

Rented Legend of The Red Dragon yesterday. Jet Li flick.

It was fun. All kinds of well choreographed fights, very chinese humour and a very sweet looking leading lady.

So it ain't great art. I liked it.

that quote was stolen from Robert Plant, you know.. Which doesn't make it any less true :)

m,y Sister called me and said "You're going to cry when you see "Almost Famous" and you hear the music in it" She was right. I am a sucker for those early Elton John songs, and the Beach Boys song at the end, and I can't remember what that was... But I did cry.
i'm such a dork, sometimes

I saw Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride (Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham-Carter) - it was classic quirky Tim. I also saw Jodie Foster in Flight Plan, which was pretty good, better than what other movie goers had told me it was.

I bought the soundtrack today- good tunes. :)
On tap for the weekend are In her Shoes and Just Like Heaven. I'm single how, so I get to watch girly stuff anytime I'm want. :D

Wallace and Gromit, the Curse of the Were Rabbit.

Too cute.

Just re-watched Godzilla: Final Wars.

Ah, my teenage years are back.

They updated it. Effects are better. Costumes are better. (Didn't spot a single zipper)

It had all the bad guys; Rodan, Ghidrah, Anguiras, Mothra. Actually Mothra was a good guy. A bunch of others.

All the bad guys got stomped good.

Evil aliens using the monsters to take over the world.

They ripped off kung-fu flicks, The Matrix, Star Wars, Independence Day, Macross.

There was a really cool fight scene on motorcycles. During which they ripped off Art of War.

And a couple of very sweet Japanese women. Almost in yui's class

Fun flick, if you don't expect great cinema. Recommended for days when you want to be brain dead.

Well,
I think I may have to see if Blockbuster has that one.

I watched True Romance last night.
Great flick, great cast. Anything with Christopher Walken rules in my book. Its an older movie and by Tarentino...so there is lots of guns and blood but the writing is excellent.
I give it two shot off thumbs up.

I love that video!!!! I have the song too.

I've got "Saw II" and "Brothers Grimm" sitting here...

should I do it, are they worth it??

Or should I just crack open the latest Stephen King book?

I saw Brothers Grimm in the theatre. It wasn't a great movie, but it wasn't bad either.

Not going to see Saw II. Not a big fan of slasher pics.

I actually didn't like either of them. Brother Grimm was really disjointed (and downright nonsensical in some places), and Saw II was a bit preachy (from the villains perspective) and overly devoted to blood. Between the two, I'd go with Saw II. Despite my reservations, it had some good moments and a couple of good swirves in it. Just don't get your expectations up.

Which Stephen King book? I'm trying to get through Cujo myself.

The new one... "The Cell"...

haven't put in the movies yet... they seem more evening kind of fare... :)

Last night I watched Lord of War. It was okay, kinda enlightening and depressing, depending on your view of guns/murder/war. I was drunk tho, so I don't know how much my opinion counts.

Normally makes you more truthful, so the opinion counts!
I don't know it.

Just gogled it.
Score 7.5 out of 10 on the IMDb. 12500 votes.
Looks like you are wrong. :D
I like N Cage. The Rock was good. But there again I like Sean too.
