I have thought about a website but I honestly don't need one. I have a mydungeonspace, a facebook, a profile on adultwork and reviews on knowpunter. I can no longer advertise in the back pages of local newspapers but I used to. Escorts have been able to dance along the edge of the law by selling time and not sexual favours per se. They're clamping down on all that now though, which is a shame. I have a separate phone for work so I can switch it off at times and people can use that number or email me.

Glad to hear it. I have seen a few guys in the armed forces who were on leave and didn't want to complicate matters by trying to have a romantic fling before leaving again. I used to feel like this when I worked on agencies. I would state that I was available on a fri or sat night for example and my agent would answer the phones till 2 or 3am. That meant I could get called at 3am to see a guy I'd never met before and they were often drunk or high. I would be picked up at 3.30 and depending on the distance - which could be anything up to 50 miles - I would arrives, spend an hour or more and then be driven home. I often found it hard to muster any kind of enthusiasm and I lived on vodka redbull and speed or cocaine.

It can be very draining to escort. People book you because they want a vacation from life and whatever the time of day or night, I was expected to turn up looking fresh and acting alert and lucid. People always want to know as much as they can about you. Many of them asked pointed questions about how I ended up 'on the game' and a lot of guys used to tell me I was too good for the job and should get out. This always felt like a bit of a backhanded compliment because it sometimes made me feel shame for what I did. I had to act interested and attracted to a lot of unintelligent, dull, drunk, high, ugly people and it does affect you over time. Also, I've had people who have been less than pleasant and it's hard not to take that personally sometimes. People used to try and take their condom off while I wasn't looking or to have anal sex without a 'by your leave.' There were also people who found me unattractive and that was always difficult. I got thoroughly jaded and bitter as an agency worker for a while. The phones were switched on at 12noon and stayed on right round till 2 or 3am and I could take multiple bookings in a day so I had no sleep pattern of any description. Also, my fee was split with the agency and the driver so I made far less per client than I do now.

It varies. As I've said, I select clients quite carefully and have the luxury of being choosy in London so it's very rare that I'll spend time with someone I really dislike and it never happens twice. I also don't have to take too many bookings per week so I flatter myself that I'm less jaded than some of the girls. Getting escorts to cooperate is like herding cats but I have made acquaintances over the years that have endured and matured so I have a vague notion of how I might compare to others in my 'paygrade' if you like.

If I really am not in the right frame of mind I'll cancel. I just don't think it's fair on the guy to shell out his cash for a sullen girl with raging PMT. Because I'm on the pill I can plan my period out to the day so this rarely happens.

I would never be the first to acknowledge a guy because I don't always know their personal situation and even if I think I do, they're not always honest. If a guy acknowledges me then I'll respond proportionately. If I receive a nod and a smile, I'll respond with one. If the guy bounces up and says hi, I'll say hi. If I'm with friends outside my work then I'll be the one giving off 'now is not a good time' vibes.
