I’ve always loved a coffee, but my last few blood donation stats, I’ve noticed my blood pressure climbing toward pre hypertension.
I live a healthy life, stay active, hydrated and eat well. Don’t drink alcohol or smoke, so I figured it could be my daily caffeine intake.
Anyway recently (about 3-4 weeks ago) I changed out my morning coffees for green tea or peppermint tea. I’m loving the tea actually. I still do love the taste of coffee though and I’ve found a nice decaf that I’ve been enjoying occasionally.
Interested to see my blood pressure at my next blood donation, see if the change has made a difference.
