I'm excited to finally get to meet many of you at the Litogether. I won't be there for the late night/overnight stuff; just a few daytimes. I can check in for a little while Thurs. evening around 9:30, then daytime Fri., some Sat. and possibly Sun. See ya there!

Morning all I hope everyone made it through the storm last night ok. I got evacuated after coming home from work to find my house surrounded by a foot of water. I moved to the consignment shop only to be evacuated again about an hour later when they reopened the flood gates. The mountain at the top of old fort Mtn. caved off last night late and blocked the highway just above my house. and the river is about 20 times its normal size still this morning. I'm ok and so is the house but last night I wouldn't have given you odds that I would have come home to a standing home. I'll be here for a little while this morning and I'm not sure when I'll get back tonight. But I hope everyone is safe and please post a short note saying You are.

I do have a few pics of the conditions but I can't post them right now. I'll try to tonight if I can.

the big I-40 mudslid is only about a mile the way the crow flies from my house. Things are getting better now but not perfect yet. rivers are still way out of their banks and now we have no water at all. Even the stores are out. I was able to get 6 gals from a distribution center here tonight but that won't last long. thanks for your prayers *Hugs*

thanks Ricoh LOL I thought I was going to have to learn how to scuba dive last night though the water got deep here pretty quick. We had 6 inches surrounding the house at about 10:30 when I got home finnally. and in less than an hour it had grown to about a foot. by the time we got all our things safe on the deck it had grown to about a foot and a hlaf thats when the Fire dept made the mandatory evac. decision. so we waded through the water to get out carrying the dog and what few clothes we could get in a hurry. I don't mind telling ya I was afraid to return this morning.

I thought I was on high enough ground as well but the water found a way

Now if they will get the water back up and working right I'll be a happy camper.
