Fetlife Anyone?

I'm on Fetlife and in the early going I met some people at munches. Didn't play with many though. Really only one and that was only a couple of times. I did go to some Fet parties at clubs that were fun. Played with a couple of people there but they actually Fet members since the person hosting the parties had an extended circle of people to invite.

I've found a few people I knew in real life BEFORE I saw they were on Fet, including one person who I actually had sort of a crush on beforehand but sadly they weren't interested. Still think they are incredible though.

Oddly enough, I met someone who has become my best friend in regular life because of going to a munch. We don't play or anything, just strictly "regular" friends but they are definitely my best friend.

I'm not very active on there now beyond logging in and checking my feed but I do still go on the site each day to check in. I ignore the BS stuff so I guess you get out the site what you put into it.

Personally I liked the old fetlife way better than it is now, just seems way more cumbersome to navigate than it was, but then again I was gone from here for a few years and I’m finally ok with this new layout from what I was use to, so maybe it’ll grown in me there too

To be honest, I'm a member and check it out 3 times a week. Have spoken to a few women but there either only fans , text buddies or just want you to let them know you like their pictures. Personally not into beating women so they are black and blue...lots of kinks!

Fet can be weird to navigate. Once you get the hang of it, you an filter groups by interest, by city, you can browse pictures.

I'd strongly suggest going to a munch; it's great to meet people socially without the scary paraphernalia. My local munch is combined with a swingers social, it's in a pub so everyone dresses normally, but everyone is friendly and conversation flows. I've made some great friends.

They are amazing. From what I've heard munches can be quite variable, and some a bit cliquey, but they made sure everyone got to talk to everyone and the atmosphere was really relaxed, like being with old friends. It's surreal though, I went from discussing grandchildren with one couple to a lady telling me how much she loved to be fisted to a trans woman showing me her boob job to... yeah, fun times.

I’m on fet. I’m not understanding people saying the website is confusing. As a general interface, or whatever it’s called, I think fet is better than here. Do agree there are too many only games people on there. Wish they had only fans profiles labeled clearly so you could filter them out or something.

Yes it’s much easier to communicate and explore your kinks on there but as in real life there are lots of jerks just trying to hookup and it’s not that kind of site

I find it really useful for the events side, I went to my first social a couple weeks ago and it was great! Really nice to be in a room full of like minded pervs and I didn't realise how much was going on locally actually!

I was on FETLIFE but gave up. I found it cumbersome with little interaction with anyone on the site. Chatted a few times but never found a place to hang (based on my interest) and zero interaction with anyone. Maybe I was navigating wrong but at the end found tiresome. So I dropped it.

I've been on Fetlife for 7 years now, also as Mindfondler there.

I do find it useful, primarily for keeping up with friends that I've made at events. I've also met some amazing people online whose paths I would never have crossed otherwise. I've even managed to find some local play partners purely from online interactions.

It is necessary to curate one's experience on Fetlife, though. There's a huge amount of vacuous activity, a lot of negativity, a fair bit of intolerance (ironically for a community that's supposed to be about mutual acceptance) and, even more sadly, some abusive and hate-driven behaviour.

The trick is to manoeuvre around all that nastiness and focus on the groups and individuals with whom one feels a positive "click". There are many good-spirited people on Fetlife -- I'd even suggest that they're the majority -- but they often get drowned out by the others. As in real life, it's necessary not to judge someone's importance by how much noise they make.

That's my current perspective on Fetlife, anyway. It may change as the platform and the user base continues to evolve. I imagine that experiences also differ considerably by gender, age and other demographic factors.
