Fishing

No! Are kidding me? That nice creature with the big wings considers me to be
snack food? So, what is on the June menu for delicious finny treats?

You cut the hole in the ice where the water is but only a few feet deep below the ice, put a herring on your hook and suspend it between the bottom of the ice and the lake bottom. Go have a beer. Come back and drag out the fish.

I've been fishing for the last two weeks, this morning is our last trip out on the lake. Fishing has been GREAT!

I hate it when fishing is too good. You spend all your time dealing with fish.

I'm still not complaining. I'd much rather have it where there is no time to sit in between fish than having to try to find the fish. I didn't get skunked once this year when we went out, it was GREAT. Now we have a LOT of fish to eat. They just aren't as good after having been frozen though than they are straight out of the lake and in the frying pan.

Babes, wait till you try to reel in a Sailfish. That fucker puts up some kicks. About twisted my arm off. Though, it was tag and release type fish.

I had always thought that being threatened with being slapped with a halibut
was a mild threat!:grin

heya thor! Remember I had asked about hikers paying a fine, because they needed a rescue? There is an article at yahoo about this. But they left out a detail.

CONCORD, N.H. -- New Hampshire plans to fine a Massachusetts teenager for the cost of rescuing him from Mount Washington in April.

A planned day hike turned into three nights alone in the woods for Scott Mason, a 17-year-old Eagle Scout from Halifax, Mass. He decided to take a shortcut after spraining his ankle, but that emergency route led him into rising water and deep snow caused by unseasonably warm weather.

New Hampshire law allows the Fish and Game Department to charge negligent hikers for the cost of rescuing them from the woods. Mason's family confirmed that he has been fined, but had no other comment Friday.

When the law was tweaked last year, officials estimated that they could seek reimbursement in about 40 of the 140 rescues it typically handles each year.
