I love that word, "embarrassing". :)

it reminds me of.....

never mind......

The 'em, baring the ass?

/hijack

Back to putting chicken livers in a cut open milk carton and dipping in the water at night and netting catfish.

How hick is that?

about the same as reaching into some old tires around the dock and catching catfish by hand.....

I never did tire, jug *which is what I meant by carton, pardon* was how I did it.

My fav to do at night is shrimping and flounder gigging. Gigging is the oldest tradition. Since flounder bury in the sand, you gig em'. There lies the problems with my fileting, as well. So many tiny bones.

I never keep little flounders. They have to be bigger than the turkey platter to keep. AND we have to be equipped to eat them soon, otherwise they turn to mush....

we used to go spearing whitefish in late sept......damn that was cold

I have been reading and catching up and I just have to say the 'hick' fishing doesn't entrance me too much .

Howeverrrrrrrrrr I always have wanted to do ice fishing in one of those cabins like in the movie Grumpy Old Men . Just seems like the amenities might be conducive to all sorts of erotic carnage........laughs

Not as much fun, and more mosquitos here when catfishing. Rarely do it.

Girl, I love that movie! I want to ice fish like that, as well. There was an episode of That 70's Show and they were in one of those. Quite the hang out.

Hey!!! I recognize that fish! How'd I know we'd both show up on a fishing thread :D

I am so ready for spring time Rainbows... Did I ever show you guys the picture of our boat? It's a 2 man, whitewater, fly fishing pontoon...

No. Show us your pontoon, baby.

Originally from South Florida, it's all about the reefs! Grouper and snapper, yummm :) And trolling for Dolphin! Damn, I miss it...

I would love to go to the Pacific NW for Halibut and pull in my own salmon someday too!

I want to go fishing like they did in the movie "The Perfect Storm" without the storm. :)

I used to fish from a fishhouse when I lived in northern Minnesota. My dad would pull the little building out on the lake with his car. It was cool, I remember fishing in that tiny mint-green colored fishhouse like it was yesterday.

~lol~ OK, but the better pics are all identifying peoples who may not want their picture all over a porn board...

We have no ice fishing here. Something I want to experience.

How far do you go offshore? I go between 12-20 miles, depending on the fish finder.

I have the Green Hornet, a shallow gigging boat and a ski boat, but to deep sea, i rely on friends and charter.

Yes great fun that movie . Appeals to the brat in me I think .
Wasn't there a scene where one dude puts old fish in the car of the other dude? Back to the ice cabin thing I am having some salacious thoughts as to it's true potential........oh my

I think Jack Lemmon put a fish in Walter Matthau's (sp) car or visa versa.

I laughed throughout that movie. It was the Odd Couple relived and I wasn't even born for the Odd Couple.

nice cataraft......bring that with you on your trip to Alaska

They're good on a lake but you'd actually have to row. On a flowing river, it's all about using the water to move you and the oars to guide or steer...

Does anyone actually catch anything ice fishing? Always seemed to me the effort to reward ratio, sitting on a frozen lake just wasn't worth it :D

It's not like it packs up in an overnight bag, even though they'd tell you it does :)
