For Those Who Might Be Wondering Why We Might Be In Ukraine

Putin's not negotiating seriously because if he does, he's dead. And we know what that means....

Trump has said if Putin won’t negotiate in good faith - which he won’t - then Trump will support Ukraine with no restrictions. Hopefully Ukraine is about to get what they need.

Ukraine will not agree to any demands from Vladimir Putin to cut its army, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, on Tuesday. The demand to reduce Ukraine’s army to a minimum was part of Russia’s initial peace proposals, which Moscow submitted to Kyiv in early March 2022. At the time, Russia called for a fivefold reduction of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from their pre-war size, limiting them to 50,000 personnel, including 1,500 officers. Moscow also demanded that Ukraine retain no more than four warships, 55 helicopters, and 300 tanks.

Unfortunately for Putin, his invasion of Ukraine has demonstrated that Ukraine needs a million man army.

Keep up with the news, Laz. Military aid to Ukraine stays in place and continues to roll.

🙄

Chloe “Chicongo” Tzang Fails to recognize what that order means for the future.

Yes the aid for weapons, etc, that PRESIDENT BIDEN secured which was appropriated / approved by congress MUST be delivered to Ukraine (barring some congressional action) , but beyond that, the new order from President Musk (and DonOld) puts future aid packages in dire jeopardy. President Zelenskyy has publicly voiced his concerns:

😳

And this goes faaaaar beyond Ukraine.
Chloe “Chicongo” Tzang needs to “Keep up with the news”.

Let's hope Trump is a little more forthcoming than Biden.

700 would be nice

Chloe “ Chicongo” Tzang FAILS to realize that it costs BIGLY MONEY to retrofit, transport, and maintain those old Abrams.

😑

Also:

The Ukrainians found out that the equipment the U.S. initially recommended and supplied was actually well suited for Ukraines needs:

From the article:

Derided 60-Year-Old US APC Comes up Trumps in Ukraine

Since being sent to Ukraine as part of the US April 2022 $800 million aid package, the venerable M113 APC has become the invaluable workhorse for Kyiv’s armed forces.

😳

😑

President Biden and our military knew BETTER than the Ukrainians what AMERICAN equipment would be most useful / practical n the conflict.

Hope that ^ helps.

Genuinely interesting article! Thank you for sharing.
Wow....I hadn't realized the M113 Armored Personnel Carrier was still in existence.

I was under the assumption they'd all been scrapped decades ago, when the Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicle came out.

The "black boot" Army used these M113 carriers all the time in Europe, they weren't all that highly regarded even back then.

Reading this article shows how one small upgrade (surrounding the body with a 25mm steel screen) makes it a much harder target to kill and extended the useful life of this carrierr. The M113 can now effectively resist Russian armor-piercing rounds AND shaped-charge antitank weapons. Nice.

I see that they've been repurposed to function as battlefield ambulances and also can have the heavy (300+ pound) M120 mortars attached on top, which fire big ole Willie Pete (White Phosphorous) incendiary shells that can seriously fuck up a Ruskie infantry platoon's day. Plus the M113s all still have the 50-cal machine gun up front.

I'm glad we were able to supply these bad boys to Ukraine.

The Bradleys have also been tearing up the orcs, and have more than proved that they were the right choice to send to Ukraine in numbers as well. The Abrams were the least ready to be deployed, and they were also the least ready to be utilized by the Ukrainian forces to any great / significantly positive effect: Not to mention the cost per unit and the challenges and cost of maintaining them. It was a GREAT call by President Biden to send the weapons systems he did in the order and numbers that he did.

👍

🇺🇸

Side note:

It’s ironic that the Ukrainians bitched about the Abrams utility / capability AFTER they got them (AFTER they bitched about NOT getting them), and NOW the Ukrainians are singing about the M113s and the Bradleys AFTER they bitched about getting them instead of the Abrams.

😳

😑

Still…

Slava Ukraini!!!

The Bradley's have been by far and away the best in terms of usefulness. Biden could have easily sent another few hundred and THAT would have been useful. As it is he sent just enough to keep Ukraine in the game and not nearly enough to win. You really have a thing about Biden, Laz, and it's skewing your view of reality.

Abrams would be good for the breakout, when it comes, as long as you have enough that you can afford to use a goodly number.

The M113's are great for a lot of stuff other than direct action - shame we don't have many left. Canada has a few they're retiring but they've wiffled and waffled about sending them to Ukraine since the start of the war. No kickbacks in sending old M113's to Ukraine for the Liberals.

Putin's got his warning....."make a deal"....or else

I saw NOTHING in there about MILITARY AID TO UKRAINE if Putin / Russia doesn’t make a "deal". (A "deal" in President Musk’s (and DonOld’s) traitorous minds would be total capitulation to Putin’s demands)

As Trump’s team prepared to take over diplomacy, his campaign’s “24-hour peace” pledge evolved into a more calculated timeline. This significant extension reflects what experts see as a growing recognition of the war’s complexities within Trump’s circle.....

Translation of Chloe “Chicongo”Tzang’s gaslighting:

President Musk (and DonOld) LIED about ending the war in Ukraine,

The results from the Gaza ceasefire will be faaaaar less than optimal for the Israelis and "Palestinians" under President Musk (and DonOld) as well.

Hope that ^ helps.

LOL. I don't disagree, Laz. Except for the gaslighting. It's the Art of the Deal.

Chloe “Chicongo” Tzamg offers a sugarcoated explanation of President Musk’s (and DonOld’s) LIES and FAILURES involving the war in Ukraine, and then Chloe “Chicongo” Tzang pretends it isn’t gaslighting.
