Force-X: New Blood Rising

Canimalia

Maxine sniffed as she heard the door open next door she un curled herself cautiously and walked to the sdoor as she listened to the noises coming from nextdoor ready to pounce if it happened to be a FoH Group hersenses were muddled she couldnt quite define if it was a friend or Foe situation.

She sniffed. Ine of the scents seemed slightly familiar the other she didint know, She pressed her nose the smallest amount on the bottom off the door trying to get a better scent without being noticed.

Netshocker

Net held his breath as the sharpen claws tightened on his throat. his first instinct was to tap her neural net... but no. That wasn't the way he did things anymore. He was more than just a combat-machine. At least that's what he thought. So, instead he carefully licked his lips before speaking in an even tone.

"Two good reasons for that, miss. One, I don't mean you or anyone else here any harm, in fact I want to try and help you."

He took a shallow breath and smiled before continuing.

"Secondly, I know how hard it is to get blood off of fur. So let's try this all over again from the point where you open the door. Okay?"

He lowered his head just slightly enough so he could look down at her over the top rim of his sunglasses, stilling flashing that smile.

"My name is Dean. I'm a friend of Charles Xavier, and I would like to talk to you. This here...", Net slowly indicated Dennis who stood to the left of him outside the door, "...is Dennis. He's a mutant like yourself and he just got the same speech from me downstairs in the lot. Now. Can we talk civilly, or should I prepare to bleed a little?"

Net kept that same intense look softened by a smile on her the whole time.

Sentry

Andrew had been able to evade the other guards once they got to their base. The captive had been hustled off into one of the structures along with what looked like the leader of the group. Andrew tried to follow but found the doors locked by some sort of codeed lock. Many of the other buildings were simiarly locked and those places he could go were swarming with workers and soldgers. He was considering trying to sneak into one of the worker store rooms, when a stroke of luck came his way.
One of the guards came back out of the main building, calling to those around him.
"I need a dozen volunteers! I need some tough guys who ain't afraid of a few bruises."

Andrew didn't quite like the sound of that, but didn't think he was going to get inside any other way, so he stepped up and went in with the others. They marched down through the ... lab? and into another room where the captive was seen through a large, plexiglass window. Andrew was uncomfortable, glancing around at the rooms and scenes around him. He didn't know where he was, but he didn't like it. It had a smell like antiseptic and sweat. He had a bad feeling about what happened down here.
It was the first time that Andrew had a chance to see the captive up close. He seemed normal enough, save it looked like a shell was growing out of his body, making a sort of endo skeleton. A couple of guys in white lab coats kept referring to 'the subject' as he went through a series of exercises apparently testing his prowess and capabilities. Finally, the door opened and the first guard stepped into the room.
"Get him!"
The guard attacked, and was consequently left sprawled on the floor in short order, then two, then four.
Then there was only Andrew left.
"You there, get him!"
Andrew stepped into the room, with the door closing behind him. He didn't rush in, knowing what would likely happen if he did. He slowly circled the other man, as he reviewed the room around him, buying time. The door was probably locked, and led up to a compound full of people who probably wouldn't like the fact that Andrew was here....but he had an idea.
"Looks like it's you and me kid." he said, snapping out the twin batons.
"Let's go."

"A friend of Mr Xavier, huh?" Georgina strained her senses, trying to detect if Dean was lying. No quickened heartbeat, no sweating, his eyes were fixed on her.... As far as she could tell, he was telling the truth

"Alright, i'll believe you. And it's Dennis, huh? Always wandered about that" She lowered her arm from Net's neck and grabbed a robe, quickly pulling it on

Walking back inside, she sat back down on her bed. She pointed over to the other man in her room, who still had not moved. "He is Toshiro Kurosawa. We just met. So, anyway, what speach was it you had in mind?"

It didn't take long before even Joe had the feeling that something just wasn't right. They had just sent more and more people in. These were more experienced. The first few seemed to be able to keep up, move for move, block for block, until Joe's suit seemed to compensate, try a different move, get in a lucky punch, and then it'd all be over.

Things progressed so slowly. His muscles tired out, his back started to hurt from the added weight of moving all that bulk around. When he jumped, he jumped as if he weighed 98 pounds, but still, his back kept carrying the added hundred pounds of so. The fighting seemed relentless.

It wasn't until they started using weapons that things become troublesome. A hit to the head, a slice of his hand. He was getting weaker, his mind already wanting to give up. He pleaded with his enforcers, even the suit, but it knew now bounds.

"Looks like it's just you and me kid," An experienced fighter, a real fighter. Someone who had worked his ass off on these moves, taken the time and patience to learn about their bodies, stances.

He circled Joe, and Joe circled back, knowing just how to counter, where to step, the best distance. His arms up, raised, ready for anything. The man had a look of hard pain on his face. Joe only had tired exasperation.

The first fight seemed useless, introductory. A series of fast punches, high kicks, all blocked or dodged. They seemed to be hitting nothing, rather dancing close to each other. A routine, it became old and tiresome already.

Until Joe tried to move back, already lined up for a wicked kick to the stomach, when a baton hit him on the back of the head. A loud whallop, send him spiraling to the other end of the room, crassing into the far wall.
He lay there, howling in pain, trying to lay still. He had thought the fighting were over, someone had finally bested him. It seemed to make sense. He was just too tired... too lazy.

"No more... no more..."

But, the moment the fighter moved closer, the suit kicked in, already making him get up, his feet on the far wall, using it as leverage, kicking high, soaring in the air over the man, landing to do a low roundhouse, tripping him up.

It went again, round two. Punches harder, kicks deadlier. Joe's lip was bleeding, he could feel the raw salt on his tongue, almost urging him on. The adrenaline rush finally overcame him, a sort of second wind that helped his movements.

When he finally caught one of the attacker's roundhouse, holding his leg in the air, like some trophy, did Joe finally realize it was over. With one deadly spin of his heels, he let the assailent fly.

He hit the one way mirror, watching as it shattered around him, revealing the people behind it, the computers, the machines, the lab coats checking data, the camera's. All of it revealing as more and more glass fell around the man.

"Oh my God," Joe went down to the man, making sure he was ok, "I'm sorry... I didn't know... I didn't mean to do that. The suit just... I'm sorry..."

Arko - Denial O'Neal

Denial was real tired, he'd hardly had anysleep, he knew that while this tired,, he couldn't fight very well at all.

Hearing the happenings inside he knew there was no trouble, so he started to climb up the building hoping to find a place on the roof to sleep.

Looking up the sky, Denial thought to himself: "I hope it doesn't rain today, I'm grounded if it does." The specal hair on his hands and feet have no use when wet.

The sky was dark with rain clouds...

Georgina kept her robe tightly wrapped around her, nervously reaching out a hand to shake Dennis'. "I'm sorry, where are my manners? My name is Georgina. Georgina Shaw, and i'm quite new here in town"

*Dennis gently shakes Georgina`s hand and smiles a bit at her*I haven`t been around that long either Georgina.... just a couple of months really. enough to know my way somewhat but not know the whole town y'know?by the way, where is that accent from anyway?

Georgina smiles pleasantly. "Why, it's an English accent. Hertfordshire to be exact. Was born and raised there. Had a good life too. That was, until I came over all hairy"

english huh? that`s a coincidence Georgina, I`m dutch.*Dennis smiles a bit but keeps his sunglasses on, in order not to frighten Georgina*

"Oh! So your from my side of the pond! Nice!"

Georgina looked back to Net. "Well? You gonna give me the spill, or am I gonna have to guess?"

yeah.what are the odds huh?*Dennis smirks a bit and calmly looks around*oh, and don`t ask me for the talk, I suck at speeches... I rather get to the point.

Netshocker

Net smirked as he listened to the exchange between Georgina and Dennis. He tried not to let his upper-english accent come off as he responded to her last inquiry.

"In short, you are going to be in danger out here by yourselves."

He looked around the room at everyone, the amusement fading from his face, replaced by that grim one of certainty.

"Sooner or later, someone is going to come gunning for it. A mob. Another mutant who wants to use you and your powers to their end. I can offer you sanctuary and help you to refine your powers, and if you are inclined, put them to a good use."

Net looked around again, harder this time.

"But I'm not here to force you. It's an invitation. Not a demand."

He checked his pistols and flipped his watch to check the time.

"You don't have to decide now, but my time is here is running out. There's others I need to find too."

"Yeah, I know all about the FoH. Prety dumb bunch of zealots of you ask me. But, I have to admit that they can be very violent. What the hell, I'll come with you."

Georgina looked around her room. "Uh, does this mean i'm moving out? Cos i'd like to bring my wardrobe"

She stood up and smiled. "And I know a friend who might be interested too. Especially if..." She looked over at Dennis. "... HE is gonna be there"

well, I`m allready in Georgina...um... if Dean gives directions I`m willing to help you move.I mean, how hard would it be to rent a van if you got a driver right?

He nodded at the two.

"There's plenty of room at the Compound for anything you would care to take with you. Pack light for now if you need anything immediately. Is this friend of yours nearby? Angel's scanners picked up multiple mutant energy signatures in this locale."

He turned toward the oriental man who had up to this point remained silent.

"The same offers goes to you sir. If you are willing then I suggest you prepare for departure ASAP."

Net looked at Dennis.

"Do me a favor... See to the woman and her friends and get them loaded into my car down in the lot. I need to link again with the compounds AI and get an updated scan of the area. Here..."

He reached into a pouch on his waist and pulled out half a dozen comm-bands.

"Pass these around and activate them," he showed the appropriate button to depress, "that way Angel can identify your sigantures from any other unknowns in the vicinity."

He turned and walked out the door walking around the side of the complex. Once there he open his watch again and gave Angel the order for a rescan.

*Dennis takes the comm-bands and passes one to georgina*so.. anything you want my help in carrying Geogina?

Georgina took one of the bands and put it on. "Huh. Kinda stands out against my fur, but I can give it a new paintjob later"

Moving over to her wardrobe, she rummaged around for something to take. Pulling out an extremely skimpy costume that looked like it would barely cover her breasts and butt, she turned round. "Well? Think this will do?"

*Dennis gulps a bit*depends if you`re going swimming or not I`d guess...want me to turn around while you change Georgina?

Georgina giggled. "Nah! I got the bathroom still" She deftly spun on her toes, using her tail to maintain balance, and walked quickly into the bathroom, closing the door behind her.

She started to strip off the clothing she was wearing, and put on her costume, minus the mask. "Oh, by the way, my friend lives next door but she's sorta nervous around strangers"

She attached a small, black collar and smiled, admiring herself in the mirror. "Heh. This look has grown on me!"

She then turned and walked out of the bathroom, performing a graceful pirruette. "Now this is what I call clothing!"

Andrew had been in fights before. He had been in life or death fights on more than one occasion, but this fight was different. The two attacked, dodged and blocked one another as they circled. His opponent was little more than a kid, but he fought magnificantly. Andrew was forced to attack faster and more agressivly with each moment. The fight would have made any action movie coriagrapher envious, not to mention impress some of his own more agressive trainers. Yet this kid was clearly terrified, practically begging to stop, even as he pressed the attack. When struck, he blubbered, crying, and pulled himself up again. It was almost as --...

In a sudden move, the kid caught Andrew's leg as he brought it around in a reverse spin kick. Heaving around, Andrew was thrown bodilly and crashed, back forst into the wall...or rather the glass.

The glass reverberated once as Andrew struck and bounced off, then shattered into a multitude of tiny squares and triangles. Chunks started fallingm causing a chain reaction until the entire window lay exposed, revealing the suprised lab techs and observers beyond.

"I'm sorry... I didn't know... I didn't mean to do that. The suit just... I'm sorry..."

Andrew curled up his body and placed his feet against the kid's chest and heaved. He went flying backwards, crashing back to the floor and Andrew sprang up to his feet, but suddenly turned and leapt through the broken window with a rolling somersault, coming up in front of one of the lab thechs. With a swift flurry of his batons, both white coated men were left lying on the floor. The remaining, a uniformed soldger, managed to draw a pistol, but was also the sudden recipiant of a pair of batons to each temple. A final kick left him crumpled in a corner.
He whirled, scaning the room, checking for any reamining threats, seeing none, he looked back through the window where the kid had managed to get back to his feet.

"Hey kid, you have to trust me now, but if you want to stay alive, we need to get the hell out of here."

He folded the batons, secreting them away as he knelt over the fallen officer, before he could search him however, the door opened and another white coated tech walked in, he stopped mid-step as he saw the carnage and squeaked as Andrew siezed the front of his coat and threw him to the floor.

"How do we get out of here?" Andrew demanded.

The tech pointed back the wrong way, "Up that hall."

Andrew yanked him to his feet, slamming his back against the wall. "NO! Not the compound, how do we get out? "

The tech wimpered then motioned to the door he came through. "That way, up the hall and to the left. You'll get to the motor pool."

"Thanks." Andrew said with a smile. There was a 'zak' and the tech slumped to the floor. Andrew slipped his stunner into a pocket and looked back at the kid.

"Let's go."

Maxine sniffed hearing the sounds of the conversation, She knew the second voice shed heard was definatly the Cab Driver who picked her up on Fridays "So the nose was right..." She thought to herself realising he was Mutant by the talk that was going on, The suggestion to moving was making her fur bristle.

"Im not going anywhere with a bunch of strangers, that type of thing gets one into trouble" Her out loud thought came out as a muffled snarl. She ducked away from the door and ran out onto the balcony and silently peered down at the strange car sniffing the air as her ears flexed "No high and mighty stranger is telling me to move out of my teritorry without a good reason" She growled lowly.

Georgina cocked her head to one side. "Uh, Mangafreak? What's one of them?"

She turned and packed a small number of clothes into a bag and slung it over her soulder. "Guess I should lock up, huh? I mean, no-one else is gonna use this room, right? Um, am I gonna get a new place to stay? Cos if I am, I better hand in my notice now"
