Lady's Slipperorchid.
Here getting police protection. Check hilarious photo of lady's slipperbeing closely inspected by policeman.

There's a lovely drawing from the 60s of a fairy having sex with a day lily stamen - the anther is just perfect - but I can't find it on the net. I'll have to spend some time in my library looking for it for you.
Kahlo and O'Keefe were both derided in some art history quarters for painting flowers; I could never see why.
Gahbecause Kahlo and O'Keefe were really painting women's ladybits in a symbolically meaningful and affirming fashion. Only if you paint a woman's ladybits in a way that men can drool over do they have any artistic significance.
(Do look out that picture! It sounds deliciously kitsch.)

Hey! I drool over such sensuously affirmative symbolic representations of ladybits as O'keefe and Kahlo painted. There was , of course, one critic who declared that O'Keefe's paintings could only be minor works because they lacked phallic imagery.
P.S. Are you familiar with Fragonard's more explicit (hell, very explicit) Lover Crowned series?
I wasn't before - do you mean the paintings in the Frick Collection?
I adore Fragonard and Boucher!

Art is great, but for some reason I prefer statuary and sculptures. Maybe it has something to do with Michelangelo's David

Did have a guard after me once for hugging Maillol's Night in the Met.
LOL
I caught hell from the Beefeaters at the Tower of London for daring to be so disrespectful of the Crown Jewels and (gasp!) take a picture of them!
Hell, I was all of fifteen years old and didn't know you were supposed to show proper respect by purchasing a post card photo of them in the gift shop.![]()

At St. Paul's, taking photos is banned as disrespectful, but I'm not sure it's disrespectful of the religion, seeing as they sell all sorts of photos in the gift shop.
You might appreciate another one of my incidents with sculpture and guards...had a Ranger threaten to arrest me for posing with my arm around a larger-than-life bronze of Walt Whitman at Bear Mountain State Park.
We were at the Tower last October; they now have it extremely well organized and allow some photo opps. They have a running sidewalk along both sides of the jewel cases for maximum viewing opportunities and maximum efficiency of moving people through. But ultimately, they want you to buy their photo booklets!
Tio, is that evidence of you being bi-curious or poet-curious?
Or was it the feel of the bronze...?
Must be the bronze...I hugged Maillol's Night as well, as she's female. Must be the archaeologist in me, turned on by the transition from stone to metallurgy.
Scandal!
Scandal!
Politicians!!!
Everybody should own one or two.![]()
Haven't they all been bought already? Is there a market for "previously owned" ones?

Sure is. Big market. It's known as K Street or better known as "Lobbyist central" where used politicians go to keep collecting all that legal bribe money.
Some...thinking specifically of previously owned politicians like Joe Scarborough and Mike Huckabee...end up being recycled by Faux Noise.

Do the used ones come with any warranties or is it caveat emptor?

Probably best to go for one with a full service history![]()
