French Magazine Cartoon Killings

While the whole world is focused on terrorism and potential attacks on the homeland, Obama is talking free community college, and Internet controls. He better get is pin head in the game.
Only Congress has the power to declare war. But they seem more interested in banning abortion and investigating Benghazi.

Why should they and you have to wait for Obama to take action? Get off your computer and off your ass.

Although the US has been in several conflicts since WW2, none of them have been formalized by a declaration of war.

Looks like you best take him up on that free community college thing for Return To Remedial English 101.

OMFG!!!!!

Thats a GOOD basic bitch catch there!!!

I cannot BELIEVE that his finger did not strike the H key and HIS became IS.

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Even IF he wanted to use the 'elllo guv'ner accent he would have need an apostrophe to be 'is. That was possibly BEYOND basic bitch wasn't it???

Not at ALL like the error where they said "thing" instead of "think" in the sentence where the talked about "intelligent.

Hoooo BOY...

that was rich...

SLippity-bib-bop-slapping my fuckin' knee over THAT one.

GREAT CATCH.

I bet he is mortified with embarrassment.

Pssst: while you are cor-rectifying his spelling you might want to have a whole 'nother post about the fact that pinhead is one word...hoo boy...I bet he crawls under a rock if you correct TWO words in ONE post, huh?

His head is in the game and exactly where it needs to be. Terrorism isn't a huge problem in America, our education is and one can make a strong case that the internet controls in place should be a bigger priority right now.

He is pissed that all of the college students that elected and re-elected him no longer love him. He is moving on to the next group if political illiterates to buy affection from.

With good reason. He should be pissed at us. It would be nice if he had the balls to get out and actually call us out on it.

Murdering people over a publication is terrible but Hebdo is an idiot to the highest. The cartoon was extremely offensive and homophobic. Is this guy stupid? What was the point of this cartoon? Is this what passes as social commentary? It's not even funny. Why do people go out of their way to be offensive towards people of color or those that are different from them?

I cannot BELIEVE that your fingers did not strum a keyboard symphony and turn THAT post into a wall of word PISS.

HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE.

Even IF he counted on you to bust your shitty bro calvary rescue moves he would have needed a catastrophe to not be missed. That would probably be HYPER basic bitch wouldn't it???

Not at ALL like the error where you thought pho was "faux" instead of the actual "pho" in the sentence where you tried talking "intelligent."

Awwww MAN...

BIbbitty-bibbitty-bee-bee-bop-re-bop-shoo-bee-doo-bee-doo-bop shooting your fuckin' knees out over THAT one.

Hssst! Fssst! Aaaack! Pfffpth! While you are re-re-re-editing your yap you might want to make another wholly other irrelevant post about the fact that supercalifragilisticexpialidocious is one word...yoo hoo...I bet he suntans himself on a rock in the nude waiting for you to swoop to his rescue for him over MANY words in MANY posts, yey?

Race has nothing to do with anything. This was strictly based on the religion of those being mocked, such as frequently happens to adherents of other faiths. And, what does "homophobic" have to do with it, unless that is another way to poke fun at Muslims, who are as homophobic as any Southern Baptist preacher.

Do you always blame the victims of evil-doers?

Horrified when I saw it, and so concerned, I immediately booked passage to Tibet, there to rock incessantly in the saddle of a smelly Yak led by my Sherpa guide...for days on end we labored mightily over river and stream, climbing high up into the Himalaya, seeking out a lone but wise Lama, in order to question my right to be...so shamed was I.:D

For someone who lists one of his interests as "writing", you sure suck at it, Chester.

[shrug] That's just a radical cleric's interpretation of Islam. Most Muslims wouldn't buy it.

If you had to guess, what percentage of the Pakistani Muslim population (2nd largest in the world) would support the penalty of death for former Muslims who have left the faith? Do you suppose it is more or less than 20%? If you had to guess, what percentage of British Muslims believe that there should be laws against blasphemy?

There were laws against blasphemy in the UK, but they have been scrapped. They only referred to blasphemy against the Christian faith.

At the time they were scrapped, there was a substantial debate about whether they should be extended to all faiths. The conclusion was, despite significant support by Muslim leaders in the UK, that extending the scope of the laws would be very difficult because of lack of clarity for a definition of 'blasphemy' amd faith. Would blasphemy against the Flying Spaghetti Monster be covered?

The conclusion was that it was better to scrap the laws.

But, yes, a substantial percentage of Muslims believe there should be laws against blasphemy but some of their leaders consider they should only apply to Muslims - as does the death penalty for leaving the Muslim faith. The wording in their religious text is that the person leaving would be 'dead to Allah' - i.e. no longer a Muslim - which they are anyway.

If you leave the Roman Catholic Church you are no longer a communicant so are no longer a member. You can, but rarely in modern times, be excommunicated - thrown out. It both cases you are 'dead to the Catholic Church' or non-existant.

However some versions of Islam believe that leaving the Muslim faith should be real death, and that committing blasphemy should be punished severely. Both are real possibilities in Pakistan, even if a Christian is only accused of blasphemy. The accusation of blasphemy in Pakistan is often used as a means of settling personal and property disputes because the accused is assumed guilty.

And at some point Brits come to the Muslim line drawn in the sand, the Rubicon, and the war is on. Today the line is cartoons disparaging Muhammed, tomorrow the line is murdering heretic Muslims or Sharia Law for all Brits.

Haven't you noticed? The war has been on for a decade.

The UK has drawn a line in the sand against honor killings, female genital mutilation, jihadists and Sharia.

In the UK Sharia can be accepted as a means of arbitration between fellow Muslims - if they both agree. But that is of equal standing with any form of arbitration if both parties agree - even if they agree to abide by the decision of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, or oggbashan. If one party does not accept the decision, then English Civil Law can be invoked - at considerable cost.

What percentage of soldiers believe that deserters should be shot?

We're all hot for it, too. Some federal judges love Sharia Law for arbitration but all arbitration, which boils down to contract negotiation, has to conform to state and federal contract law. That is, Sharia Law cannot apply to a minor or an incompetent or anyone under duress. But we aren't arguing contract law, we're addressing British sovereignty.

And Sharia law is not allowed in the UK except as I stated. It isn't accepted by any UK judge or court.

Sharia financial contracts and Sharia wills have to comply with UK law. That is so complicated that solicitors have issued specialist advice on how to meet a request for a Sharia-compliant document that is valid in English/Scots law. It ain't easy, but it can be done by a competent lawyer. The one thing they must NOT say is the word 'Sharia'.
