The squash looks healthy.

My Dad engineered a post driver for me, bless him. He said he had one, but thought it might be too unwieldy for me.



I drove the posts to tie the squash up for vertical growth and well... think I hit a main root while driving a post, but that's okay.

Really impressive garden!

A volunteer pumpkin is what got us into pumpkin farming. About 15 years ago we had one in our garden and no one knew where it came from. Formed a beautiful pumpkin, and my five year old daughter won the blue ribbon at the county fair.

That is too hot to be swinging a hammer. Enjoy the movie!

Yours is much more lovely than mine.. today was spent hoeing the bottom garden. Still not finished, but it is looking better. I have volunteer zinnias and marigolds to bring down from the raised beds, but that will wait for another day. Over 12,000 steps and the day isn't over yet.

It’s not fair to compare. Your garden is so different. It’s far more advanced and far along. And MUCH MUCH tidier than ours. It looks fabulous!!

We have weeds everywhere… if you saw our pumpkin patch you’d have a heart attack, it has so many weeds in it.

Our tomato plants don’t even have flowers yet, and there you are eating tomato sandwiches!!

Your marigolds look really mature.

That is a great looking garden!!!

Get those steps in!!

Planted new this year: 2 watermelon plants, a papaya plant, 2 banana plants, a 3-variety peach tree, 4 Crepe Mertles, 6 Leyland Cypresse trees, 8 Bluepoint Juniper trees, 2 Magnolia trees, and 8 Red Yucca plants.

My wife just got a bunch of freebies from a local garden center. Four cantaloupes and a bunch of watermelon plants. Poor things were castoffs and needed a home.

I don’t even like watermelon.
