I googled
do as said above, but you should see 'caller id' below 'receive at', tap on that, it should show your email address and your phone number, tap on your phone number and it should put a checkmark next to it. that will be what shows when you send a text from now on. it's normal to have your email and phone number as 'receive at' so don't worry about that.
if that doesnt work
Settings>Messages>Recieve at>tap on your email address and sign out.

Do you really need a SSD drive? Depending on your use they can have a shorter life expectancy and of course the price per MB is very high still. Also, is this a good deal? I want to replace the HDD in the X1. $40 after the rebate: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...hBargains-_-NA-_-NA-_-NA&Item=N82E16820233611
Here's one option http://www.freenas.org/for-home/Also, I want to turn an old(er) desktop into a NAS. Got any tutorials? Want to do it for me?
I'd say it's hardware, your screen is physically buggered. They can be repaired but it's touch and go whether it would be economical.I have an iPad mini that for no apparent reason has developed a gray bar through the screen. I have tried restarting it a couple of times but have had no success. I looked up trouble shooting ideas but all involved hardware repair. Am I screwed?
Are you dead set on intel? AMD gives you far more bang for your buck when it comes to processors.I gave my mother my computer because she broke hers.
I am now shopping for a new computer for myself. Or rather for parts. I built my old one and will be building my new one.
Right now, I'm just browsing through newegg.com for decent parts. I'm looking through the Intel Z77, Z97 motherboards and pondering whether I should upgrade to a i7 or stick with my i5.
If anyone has hardware suggestions, PC build configurations, or knows of some bargains available, I'd be happy for the info.
I promised myself I wasn't going to buy any more PC parts for at least a few months. But I'm gonna splash out and treat myself to a 500 gig ssd. Crucial are doing the MX200 500GB for a hundred and forty quid right now.Do you really need a SSD drive? As for lack of drive bays, use larger drives. You could use USB connected drives or, if you're not going to be moving the box around, just stack some in the bottom of the case.
The downside of the USB drives is SMART doesn't work for USB drives (as far as I know) and that's a good monitoring tool to use, it will email you with impending drive failures.
Just stacking some in the case could lead to heat buildup if you don't space them. On the other hand SMART will monitor the drive temp so you'll know if you have issues.

Thanks Sean.
Windows 10 upgrade reserved.
Now I patiently wait for my laptop to tell me that its hardware isn't compatible with 10.
Win 10 is just a dumbed down version of 8.1
Just like Win 7 was a dumbed down version of Vista
I'll be certified on it by the end of the year.
Same boat. And I'm terrified of trying it on my work boxes because of all the proprietary software I run.
I got a cheap ass Acer 2 in 1 from Costco.
Cheap.
I like cheap.
Yeah. Me too. But I like bells and whistles, too.
