If being a bully means telling the truth, then you are just as fucking stupid.
No surprise there I guess.

Alright so I just bought a Toshiba laptop ( 2016 New Edition Toshiba Satellite ) and it's running Windows 10. I got through the setup but went I boot it up it's so slow and clunky. So any suggestions as to what I can do?
And windows 10 tips in general I guess.
Eh, ignore most of what was said, the issue is that Toshibas take forever to boot. It doesnt seem to matter what OS is on it.
Combine that with 10 taking longer to boot than any other OS and it makes the machine boot slow. Win 10 is always looking to connect to the internet and sync everything with each boot, no matter if you use one drive or not.
But see, I do not think its a big deal on boot time. Since I encrypt every machine I use, it takes even longer to boot up, unless we are talking about my macs. And even they can be slow if the update Apple pushes out sucks.
I would be more concerned if once the Toshiba booted that it ran slow. If that is happening then I would be worried.
And do not try to run the Toshiba without the most of the Toshiba apps. As awful as they are, without them it runs even worse.
Run the Toshiba updater and make sure your drivers are up to date.
Thank you! I'm having no issues after the initial boot up - I guess I just assumed that 10 would be faster for whatever reason. I only worried because my old Toshiba running 8 seemed, to me, to boot up fairly quickly. I thought I might have screwed something up in the initial setup.
It goes with the territory of being pretty fucking stupid, I'm afraid.

Live up to your handle, woman!
(I have a feeling they havent been called handles for a loooong time)
wow, my old computer must have really sucked then, because this new one with windows 10 loads up way fucking faster than either my pc or my laptop with 7. of course, i was well aware that laptop was terrible. that fucking thing couldn't even handle civilization 4.
Win10 and Excel 2013 do not like each other.
Excel blows up at least once a day.
The slash commands are a godsend.

Be careful of vendor updaters, some are very vulnerable.Run the Toshiba updater and make sure your drivers are up to date.
Yeah, but thats called deliberate manufacture fault.
How are you going to shell out for Office 10 if Excel 2013 works on your 10 machine?
I would suggest right clicking on the Excel icon, going into properties and setting the running back to whichever system you used to use beforehand and seeing whether that works.
As above, Microsoft, but worth a shot.
Excel, and the rest of Office 2013, work perfectly for me on 10.

Installed 10 on 3 machines, 2 fine, one fucked. My machines fine... my friend... oh I need AV, oh I need. Thats the fucked one. Microsoft assistance level 3.. just cause they couldnt believe what I said was wrong with the upgrade was. I never paid for Office... but you had the basic doc look at and save in 8.... 10 just says BUY ME NOW, there is nothing else.
It's possible my copy of Office 2013 isn't strictly legit...
Yeah.
I bought her a cheap quad core in 12, let her do what she did with it. I kept an admin login just to save her from herself in emergencies. It is all her fault.
However... Microsoft deciding that they install 10 and not let you do anything with your DOCX resume because you should buy new OFFICE instead of view and basic change? At the moment, I'm willing to spend two hours to a computer and change a word rather than to buy shit I dont need.
