But Dawn...now is the time to come to this latitude. The days are crisp. The sun warm. Leaves are turning scarlet and gold.

And the nights...just enough chill to justify a fire to cuddle before. And certainly cool enough to make snuggling beneath the blankets a pleasurable experience. Of course, I seem to recall the hottest of weather when I enjoyed just such snuggles.

Not to worry. I've taken to sleeping in the shed out back. Once the lawn tractor is out of the way it's really quite comfy. And the mice have become very friendly.

Honey bunny as much as I adore you I'm not sleeping with a lawn tractor and mice.

You've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything.

Therefore I stand against lawn tractors and rodents as bed mates.

I sure that will be a much better environment for them in the coming winter.

You would so hate for them to get frostbite on their little parts.

Surely she won't mind sharing her sweaters, shoes, socks and such. I believe even the mice have good enough taste to stay away from the pants and lingere.

I agree. And from the evidence I found in my kitchen from their cousins, I'd say my 3 elderly cats are clueless as to their role in this operation. They should be safe and warm.

Except the oldest one. She's Queen Empress of All She Surveys. It's a great burden for her, but she still handles it well.
