But I'm glad if you have fun...

well, LoneOne and I use to have some fun here and in RL,
especially when it has something to do with the female half of mankind.

:rose:

Yeah, right "Wizard of Oz"

I only remember Toto beeing a little black doggy... :)

the funny thing is that I use this phrase very often and people don´t get it. Most of the time if something strange and unexpected happens. I´ve met so many people who don´t know about this classic story, you wouldn´t believe.

For me this is often a problem in RL because I often make jokes that are related to books, films and other sorts of fiction and after that I can watch some people not getting the joke. I´ve a strange sort of humour sometimes.

"Alice im Wunderland" get me in the same Problem all the time, no one gets the jokes I make in connection with something the mad hatter said or this strange cat. (For our englisch readers here, I don´t know if the english name of the story is the same... I think in english it´s called "Through the Looking Glass"...ok I think that was clear when I mentioned the mad hatter)

oh... and now, this very moment I´m realy bored (the only reason I write down all this nearly useless info) and will now go
on to something more usefull... a thing called sleep...

Welcome to Lit, Angilina

These posts can be confusing sometimes even when you know English but as long as they aren't taken too seriously then a good time can be had by all.

And if they get a little too fresh...just give them your best shot back at them.:D

Hey Lone One

You're talking about two of my favorite childhood stories here, The Wiz and Alice. Lewis Carroll's book is called, "Through the Looking Glass" but I always think of it as "Alice in Wonderland" since I saw the movie before I ever read the book.

Writing down useless info. is not useless...it's babbling.:D

I kind of like it.:)

Momma ?

You must be kidding !! I don't do incest

Huh, well, I didn't read any of the two mentioned books... although I love to read!

But fiction isn't my thing, all that real stuff life is offering is exciting enough to me.

Unlike to LoneOne I can't remember the last time I was bored

PS. I don't mind at all anybody having fun;)

no fiction at all ?

Du liest nur Sachbücher ?

Nein! ;)

Nonfiction = Sachbücher? (I really don't know)

Wizard of Oz and Alice im Wunderland = Science Fiction?

If so, I was speaking about sci-fi.

Some of the last books I have read for example:
Dostojewski, Michael Moore, Stefan Zweig (Sternstunden der Menschheit,
highly recomanded ;) )

Fiction ist alles, was menschlicher Phantasie entspringt.

is that a certain order I'm not aware of by now ?

They're the Silent Sisters of the Sacred Stocking.

They took a vow to keep their legs covered at all times.

I think I'll say a prayer to them.

where is Rex, or are you talking to yourself????

Maybe he's taking care of the Sisters of the Sacred Stocking? ;)

@ Rex: thanks for the lession - so I'm supposed to say I do read fiction, but no science and no Märchen ;)
(BTW: Sternstunden der Menschheit ist nicht unbedingt philosophisch, aber vielleicht in gewisser Weise dann doch...)

Well, I have been known to talk to myself.

Looks like Rex found his way home.

And back to his hobbies.:D

Hey Rex, maybe Angelina will get some ideas from one of your threads or another .

I hope she knows to click on the links....being a newbie and all.

even if I'm not the happy x-mas fan who is jumping around happy and doing stuff... well...

I wish everyone Happy Holidays and Merry X-mas

Santa made such a noise on the rooftop I woke up to see what was the matter.

Now the stockings are all filled and I'm going to settle down to another winter nap.

ho ho ho

Merry Christmas Rex and LoneOne!!:rose::rose:

Hope the Christmas goose is smelling good over there.:)

LO...you don't have jump around...just look forward to whatever the New Year will be bringing.

Peace to all.:rose:

Have you left some hot chocolate and cookies at the chimney for Santa ?

The goose was great. Mom did one from Poland and one from Hungaria just to make sure there's enough for all of us.
The kids had fun unwrapping all those presents still wondering how Santa knew about all their wishes.
I so much love to see their eyes when this or that appears.

I am stuffed now. I don't think I could eat anything tomorrow.

Have a nice c-mas you all :rose:

Santa loved his cookies. I could hear him licking his lips all the way upstairs.

And he took the carrots for the reindeer.

I am so stuffed myself. But even after a big turkey dinner I had to have a turkey sandwich a little while ago. Kind of a late night cmas tradition.

Now with my full belly and a little wine on board I'm going to sleep like a baby.

I bet Santa is, too.

Happy second day of Christmas to you Germans. You know how to make the most out of a holiday.:D :rose:

hmmmm

I'm going to have to come back here and check on some German posts later this afternoon.

:D
