Doubly ironic, given that this whole string of mirthful verse was sprung from an argument about the relative safety levels of sylvan encounters. I guess the ancestors who were afraid of the name have cast their vote in our linguistic heritage. Although we do use a lot of euphemisms for men in modern language...
