She crossed her arms and looked out the window hearing how he raised his voice to her. She figured one day she would see his memories, but wouldn't talk about it now. But she wasn't afraid or even upset with her husband, she understood and turned looking at him. Walking over she kissed him on the head. "It will be okay Severus"

Morning of the Day of he Third Task

Severus awoke to the sound of Jacob crying. Thankfully, Severus used one of his old spells and soundproofed the room, so only he and Emily herad it. But for the last couple of months, he had gotten little sleep from Jacob's crying. On the rare occasion where he didnt cry for the entire night, Severus had dreams where he cried, and he immediatly woke up, thinking the baby actually was crying. It was horrible. On most days, he had to call in sick because he couldnt teach. He was just too tired nowadays. He couldnt wait until Jacob was a child and wouldnt howl anymore. He got out of bed, too tired to stand up straight, and walked into the bathroom after hushing down Jacob. He sloppily brushed his teeth, and slowly washed his mouth and face. He didnt look one bit refreshed.

Emily woke up and quickly got to there sons side. "Shhh little one shhhh" The baby looked at her with those big black eyes of his. Cradling the baby she walked over to Severus and smiled at him, he looked like hell. "Well Severus no one said being parents would be easy, maybe I should put something in the milk. Ive done some home work and there is an herb you can give a baby, to help it sleep through the night. You need more sleep" She fed there son and smiled at him and knew she had to do something. So placing a free hand on his back she gave him some of her own energy which didn't phase her really. "Third task is today which means not much longer for you know who to get exposed"

He smiled faintly, at least he had something to look forward to. The year had dragged by so slowly, he was glad it was going to be over soon, but at such a price, it ruined the sweetness of it. He walked out of the bathroom, feeling a bit more energized. "Okay Em, your turn to stay with the baby." he told her. He hoped that, with the new energy, he could get through the day. "Okay, remember that there is food in the kitchen, bottom right drawer. If you need anything, contact either me or Albus, preferrably me." he reminded her for the umpteenth time.

She nodded to him and kissed him "Your daddy is a worry wart Jacob" She grinned at him and nodded. "Relax Severus it will be fine I can contact you mentally no matter how far away you are, Albus I cannot" She said happily and sat down on the couch, and noticed Jacob reaching out to Severus. "Looks like someone wants a goodbye hug from daddy" She said happily. She loved her husband and son, there son was Severus's spitting image, his eyes and her dark brown hair.

Severus smiled, and took the baby in his arm. He just hoped he would puke or regurgitate onto him, like he had done so many times before. He rocked him in his arms, and Jacob began closing his eyes, dozing off. Once he completely fell asleep, Severus handed him to Emily. "Well, you know what to do." he told her, walking out of the room, heading off to breakfast.

She smiled at him and watched him leave and decided to speak to him for a moment. "I love you Severus, we will be fine. If you need me just call, you know our son maybe a handful but I don't regret creating him" She held her child and closed her eyes sighing happily as she closed her eyes and yawned a little bit relaxing.

He heard her last comment, and quickly nodded to her. He walked to the feast hall, quickly ate breakfast, and rushed to his classroom. He quickly set it up, looked breifly at what Emily had taught them while he was gone, and wrote instructions on the board as they began entering. The students sat down, looked at the instructions, and began following them. He sat down at his desk, and waited. He checked in with Emily mentally, to see how she was. Everything all right there? he asked her.

She was playing with her son until she put him down for his nap, so she relaxed in the chair curled up in a good book. Then she got his message and smiled "We are fine our son is napping, I am just bored as all hell. I miss my job, I mean I know I have a job as a mother but still. But we are fine" She said softly to him.

He smiled, glad she was okay. Good to know. Thanks for telling me. he replied to her. He kept the mental link, but ended the conversation. He saw some students were finishing, and came up to him handing him their work. One of them asked him where he had been for the past several days, and Severus answered him coldly. 'And how is that any of your business?" he answered him, evidently implieng he wouldnt answer him. The boy sat back down, and waited for class to end. Severus had not thought about what to give them if they finished early, so they just sat, read a book, or talked quietly.

Emily ended up falling asleep with the book that was now in her lap, and little Jacob was a sound sleeper. She also hadn't been getting much sleep either, but right now she just needed some time to get use to things. Yawning happily she just had a smile on her face, she had pleasant dreams for the first time in a rather long time. She had a dream of the first time that they were together, that they met. That meeting she had no idea that this would end up happening, falling in love was something she didn't foresee.

THe class soon ended, and the students hurried out the door. Severus sighed, wanting the day to end. The Task wasn't until after dinner, so he had several more classes to teach until then. His next class, the third years, came in, and he just handed them a end of the year quiz. The final exams weren't until next week, but he still wanted to test his students. They all took it silently, and then another class ended, and another class began. It was endless. Once they heard the lunch bell, Severus actually jumped out of his seat to rush to the feast hall. He was the first to be there of all the teachers.

She smiled a little bit as she began to wonder what was to happen, and she was starving around lunch time so she fed Jacob first then fed herself. She made a sandwich and hoped that Severus was okay, she sensed that he was getting frustrated and knew that she would have to do something with Jacob so he would sleep much better. Emily didn't mind being woken up but she was also 17 years younger then him as well.

Lunch went by just as slowly, and once it was over, Severus rushed back to his classroom, quickly got it all set up, and his students files in, sat down, and worked. I was like this for several more hours, until dinner. Once again, Severus rushed to the feast hall, filled his plate, ate quickly, and grabbed some food for Emily. Finally, dinner was over. Abus stood, and announced where the Third Task would be held. "As you all know, the Third Ask shall be held today! If you would so kindly as go to the Quidditch pitch, and sit down in the bleachers, it shall begin!" he announced. Everyone jumped out of their seats, and Severus hurried to his room to take Emily and Jacob to the Task. He burst through the doors, and walked over to Emily.

By that time she had just gotten Jacob changed into a new diaper and was humming to there son. And even gave him little raspberry's on his stomach. Much like how her mother use to do it, and it made him laugh so loudly. But then the door burst open and she stopped, she put a defensive type stance ready to protect her son. But noticed it was Severus so she put her hand down "God Severus you scared the crap out of me, is something wrong?" Picking up there son she walked up to Severus.

Severus nodded. "Mothing is wrong, I just am excited for this day to end. Cme on, take our son, but remember, he must be hidden so he annoy be seen, and I shall make it so only we can hear him." he reminded her. He waited for her to prepare, and they walked out of the room, heading off to the Quidditch pitch. He and Emily had been told about the Task, a giant hedge maze filled with several dangers, such as changing corridors, Blast Ended Skrewts, and other things. Severus was excited.

She sighed and nodded, she put a little harmless smell on there child and made there son sleep. She had found it in her family's spell book. And assured Severus this would not hurt there son in any way, so she hid him in the crook of her arm with her long cape and sat beside Severus. Looking at Severus she smiled. "The energy I gave you Severus, was it enough? I know you haven't slept well and I am sorry about that."

Severus nodded. "It was enough, I was ale to operate well. But I have, of course, been in better states." he said while making Jacob or be heard except by the two of them. "And you don't have to be sorry, I'm actually enjoying having a child. I feel more cheerful sometimes, instead of always being gloomy. The child screaming is just something to even it out. After all, nothing comes for free, right?" he asked rhetorically. Once they sat down in the bleachers, Severus took hold of her hand, concealing it from view, but showing his affection in that one single touch.

Emily smiled happy he didn't regret there son, even if he had been an accident he was a miracle baby she thought of it. Feeling his hand against her own she smiled looking at the kids, squeezing his hand showing her love for him. And relaxed, she didn't exactly know everything about this task so she looked at Severus. "So what is this a maze with a lot of danger?" She said with a kind smile on her face. Since she had no idea what kind of task the last one would be, she enjoyed the sound of cheers around them.

He heard her question, and decided not to be too revealing with it. "Well, they grew a large hedge maze, as you can see. The Champions shall enter it, and try to navigate their way through it to the center, where the Triwizard Cup is. First to touch it is winner." he explained to her. Heheard the cheer's dim down, and he turned to see Albus with Minister Fudge.

Looking at Severus she nodded to him, and figured it wouldn't be as easy as it sounded. She paid close attention to the maze and knew very soon Barty would be out of the school, a grin appeared on her face as she was starting to think of all things that would happen in the future, she was enjoying herself.

Severus saw Emily grin, and smiled himself. But, Albus began speaking. "The first of the Champions to enter the maze shall be Harry Potter," at this there was a huge roar from all of Gryffindor and some of the other Houses, "And Cedric Diggory." All of Hogwarts cheered at Cedric's name, and a bunch of students from the other schools. Once the cheering died down, Albus continued. 'And then, they shall be followed by Victor Krum," all of Durmstrang cheered, "And he shall be followed by Fluer Delacor." And everyone of the students from Beauxbaton cheered for Fluer, and so did most of the boy's from the other schools. Once again, Albus waited for the cheering to die down.

Emily liked the sound of everything and Emily just kept clapping because she liked all the schools she didn't hate anyone. She didn't cheer like anyone but she was also careful because of there son in her arms. She watched everyone really cheer and it felt good so she was having a wonderful time as she went back to holding onto Severus's hand but of course hiding the fact that they were doing it.

Severus felt Emily's grasp his hand, and he squeezed it affectionately. Once he corwd died down, Albus continued speaking. Cedric and Harry had already put themselves in front of the entrances of the maze. "Now, if any of the Champions are lost while in the maze, or wish to be taken out, all they have to do is to send red sparks in the air, and a teacher shall go to that exact place and bring them out. Now, on the count of three, the first Champions shall enter. 1...!" and then, accidentaly, Argus Filch set off the cannon. Albus looked at him, and he shrugged his shoulders. The Champions entered, and Harry turned back to Barty Jr, and he seemed to give him a sign, htough what sign was unclear.

Emily smiled feeling his squeeze, she loved the relationship with Severus. Seemed like every day they just got closer. But she heard what the kids had to do, she had wished that adults at this school had a game it would have been interesting. But she heard the count down and Emily's grey eyes didn't leave the kids, even when Barty did what he did. She tilted her head to the side and was curious. "Severus what was he trying to tell Harry any ideas? What is Barty up to?" She wondered and asked in her head.
