Half Blood (Closed)

He felt a bit reassured when she placed her hand on his ack, and he than remembered what he had wanted to tell her. He turned, facing her, p,acing his tea cp not the table. "Emily, I have news!" he said excitingly. He waited for a moment, and than told it to her. "We only have to lay low with Barty Jr until June. After the Third Task! I'm so glad that I now know when I can stop this, it is so much better than not knowing."

She smiled at him at the news and nodded "Severus I know you and Albus have your secrets, and I will never ask you about them. I figure if I am meant to know you will tell me, but is Albus up set with me at all? I know I come on strongly I keep forgetting that I over step and I hope he knows I mean him no disrespect. Which is why I said nothing really in the meeting since I felt bad, just knowing about something is hard to control yourself at times"

He smiled. "Of cousre not Emily, he isnt upset with you. Its just that he isnt used to someone like you. Not in a bad way, but he finds you different from the people he knows. But then again, he has met some strange people in his life." he told her. He took his cup and sipped it, not really too in the mood for tea.

She took her cup and sipped it "Well I am glad since I was afraid he would be angry but glad he is open minded. Well let's face is Severus how many witches do you know that was raised in America, can do wandless magic and had to grow up way to fast? I know you had to grow up very fast as well, we are so much a like. Sure you have lived longer then I have, and no that isn't a jab at your age. You look damn good for your age" She nudged him.

Severus smiled at her comments. "You're right, I dont no many witches like you." Upon hearing her comment on his age, he knew she didn't mean to insult him. He smiled at her nudge, and put his arm over her shoulder. He pecked her cheek, and took some gulps of his tea, feeing a bit better, less cold.

She grinned at him and nodded "And it's funny I thought I would miss home, haven't even really thought much about my home. Since my family is right here under this schools roof, and frankly I wouldn't care if I never went back to America. I still remember the little situation I was in, since I know in England words mean something totally different then they do in America. Took me a while to get that through my thick head. " She chuckled and thought for a moment "But I am glad things are coming together"

He grinned. "Im glad it all worked out as well." He finished his tea, and put it into their sink. He glimpsed towards the clock, and saw it was almost noon. "Hey Emily, we should be getting ready for lunch." he told her. He quickly washed his cup, and looked at his reflection in the mirror. He saw he didnt need to freshen up, and waited for Emily.

She got up and put her cup in and washed it as well, once she dried it and dried her hands she placed her hand on his back. "Just think Severus one day this will be all over, and you have a guardian angel on your shoulder" She said softly meaning that she was his guardian angel and patted his back lovingly.

He grinned at that thought, thinking little could be better than that. He laced his arm with Emily's, and walked towards lunch. He was less afraid of showing his love for Emily now, but he still didnt want to reveal he was to have a child. He looked at Emiy's stomach and saw she had concealed her pregnancy, and sighed with releif. He saw Barty Jr on the way, and gritted his teeth, glaring at him, his eyes full of hate. As long as he was here, he didnt feel safe.

She could tell how he was so chipper then boom Barty came out and now he wanted to kill him. Squeezing Severus's hand to reassure him and knew that soon it would be all over. Thinking for a moment she looked up at Severus and smiled, Barty would be taken care of soon enough just another month or so.

Severus felt Emily's squeeze of reassuance, and felt slightly better, but only slightly. They reached the feast hall, and they sat down at their seats. Severus filled his plate less than usual, but still more than most. He ate slowly, also unlike his usual self, and took small, spaced out swigs of wine. He didnt feel like drinking the wine, he wasnt in a good mood any more. Just the thought of the Dark Lord sent chills through his body.

Like the kids she drank Pumpkin juice since she didn't want to take a chance with the baby, and could tell her husband was very worried. "Severus it will be alright I promise, I will try and prepare you as much as possible, though I know there really isn't anything I can do or say to make you feel better. Once Barty is exposed a little weight will be lifted, hell I am even nice to the son of a bitch and you know how hard that is to do?" She said mentally and smiled as she ate happily.

He mentally laughed at her eassurance, and felt better again. Not completely, but still better. He finsihed his lunch, drained his goblet, and waited for the meal to end. He was counting down the days to the Third Task, and even a minute seemed eternal.

She sat back relaxing and knew what he was thinking it was much for him to handle and right now she just finished up her meal and noticed that lunch was over. She enjoyed being with the professors, since she was Severus's assistant and would continue to be his assistant. But a vision hit her hard she stared off into space to deal with it.

Severus noticed Emily stare off into space, and realized she was haing a vision. He waited patiently for it to end, and when it did, she spoke to her about it. "Wat did you see in your vision?" he asked her, hoping it was something good, not like the usual bad.

She shook her head a bit and smiled a little bit, looking at him she smiled at him. "Was actually good, just a date and time I will be in labor" She said being honest. She never lied to Severus, since she didn't have the stomach to lie to him. But she also said what she did mentally as well, and sighed. "You okay?"

He sighed with relief, glad it was nothing bad. He heard her ask if he was okay, and he nodded. "Yeah, I just thought for a second it might be something bad, and I'm tired of bad things happening, so I'm glad it is good news this time." he answered her honestly.

She smiled at him "In a world as dark as ours Severus, good news is very slim but it happens" She said happily and stroked his hand. "it will be okay" She said happily to him and rubbed the back of her neck. "Sooner or later there will be peace, and I know these things"

They walked out of the feast hall, and soon made it to their room. Not many people were still at Hogwarts, mainly Harry Potter and some teachers, along with few students. Severus didn't make tea this time, but just fell onto the bed. He was getting tired lately, and he couldn't think why.

OOC: Skip soon.

She walked beside him the whole way and watched him, and looked down a bit. She knew why he was tired, slowly walking up to him and sat on his side of the bed. "I know why your tired Severus" Placing her hand over his heart. "So much bitterness making yourself unwanted afraid of getting hurt, being the puppet of both Voldemort and Albus. No one understands what you must do but me, the sacrifices you make every day. And all the kids see is someone not to piss off, but they have no idea how good you really are. That is why I know you will not betray me" She kissed him softly. "I love you so much Severus..."

Severus sighed once more, hearing her words. The thing is, he had to do that. If he had a choice, he wouldnt do it, though most of the time he was naturally gloomy, though not lately. He turned to face Emily, and explained his thoughts to her. He wanted to say "If I had a choice, I would be different, just kill the Dark Lord now, but I cant." But, somehow that ended up becoming "I'll try to fix it Em." When he felt her kiss him, and heard her words, just a touch of a smile hit his mouth. "I love you as well." he whispered to her.

She smiled at him hearing what he said and nodded "I wouldn't try to fix it, in the end it will be all worth it, for a time of pure peace. Something our worlds both need, and I know if you had it your way you wouldn't be apart. Id rather throw myself all over the place instead of you" She sighed softly looking at him. "but I like to think that your in a dark tunnel and I am the light at that tunnel"

He smiled, liking that thought as well. He took a deep breath, and got off the bed, leaving Emily sitting there himself. "Well, some cold water'll wake me up." he said. He walked into the bathroom, filling his hands with water, and than splashed his face. He immediately felt better. He left the bathroom, and sat at the table, just thinking about random thoughts that came to his mind.

She watched him and silently sighed a little and looked at him. "You know Severus I don't mean to pry but there is something I can do to help you. Clear your head but you may not like it because it would me seeing memories. But it's just I don't know I want to do everything for you that I possibly can do you know" She kissed his neck and walked to the window figuring he would never agree to it.

Severus heard her offer, and immediately declined it. "No Emily, I'm sorry but I can't let you do that. Some things are to personal that I dont want even you seeing them I've seen much, and experienced much, I dont want you to see that as well." he told her. He tried really hard not to raise his voice, but he couldnt stop it completely. He slightly raised his voice, and he knew she got the message.
