Hey, gun nuts!

Beautiful steel vette. I still love my two Gerber Mk I's. One is a presentation blade and the other is a 'working' blade.

Really? Yet it is the left telling me:

I can't use certain words

Who I can hire

What health insurance I must buy

I must wear a helmet when I ride my bike

I can't own certain guns - or in some cases I can't own a gun period

How much I need to pay my employees

That I must give a portion of my earnings to the poor

I can't smoke in public

I can't spank my kid

Etc

AND is doing so at the point of a gun - i.e. do this or go to jail.

And you're telling me that's NOT authoritarian?

So you want to smoke in public, laugh at the less fortunate, beat your kids, and hire only white people...

LET FREEDOM RING!

Your problem with this is that you take it too far. That's the problem with a lot of these arguments. Bringing up smoking in public and fair hiring practices makes you look stupid.
There are legitimate gripes against certain aspects of the PC thing and of course the insurance issue. However when you complain about not being allowed to spread poisonous smoke in a public place then you give up any chance of a real debate. Or when you say you should be allowed to hire anyone you want then you of course imply that you won't hire minorities or the disabled or women or whatever.
Stick to things that don't make you look like a dick. I understand that might be difficult but try.

Can't marry whoever you want.

Can't have whatever kind of sex you want.

Can't do what you want with your own uterus.

Can't continue living if the state decides to kill you.

Can't do anything about it if someone can make money by poisoning the air you breathe.

Can't use whatever substances you want in your own home.

There are examples on both sides of the political aisle. Both sides clamp down on the personal liberties they don't like.

Your post is disingenuous at best, and partisan propaganda at worst.

For Christ's sake Forrest, this is a gun thread.

Could be. I have no idea. We'll see what Vette says.

Indeed we will.

See the tail end of the haft? That's turquoise, onyx, and silver. Very much a trademark of Zuni craftsmanship. The blade itself could have been made anywhere, but I'm guessing that the two craftsmen were closely associated geographically. It's just a guess though so being wrong isn't going to haunt me.

Of course, the fact is that I was replying to a post with irrelevant content which drew no commentary from you at all.

Post some gun porn. Show me your favorite gun. Or better yet, answer the question I posted last night.

"Stek Knives"

I have a couple of knives made by this craftsmen. Had them for several years now. Their name is Craig & Adam Steketee, father and son. They are excellent knife makers. Here's a little about them:

Beautiful stuff. In the grand scheme of things, Ish's guess wasn't so far off.

His shop is located in Billings, Missouri which is located just 20 miles southwest of Springfield and one hour northwest of Branson.

Do you actually use them, or are they just for show? I'm always torn with stuff like that. Seems a shame to just look at them, but they're practically sculptures, so it's not like you want to go hacking down saplings either.
