Hey, gun nuts!

The Mike 240 Golf is still used in the Marine Corps, and like the M60 before it, fills the needed niche of gaining powerful fire superiority over the enemy, the M249 filled the need for a belt fed SAW that could easily be maneuvered while bringing fire superiority in tight quarters, in urban environments, while adding to the capability of small units and bringing the ability of gaining massive fire superiority on the enemy, the Marine Corps signature. I think this new decision is a step back into the past and has more to do with politics than bringing effective small unit tactics to the battlefield.

The biggest complaint from our troops is jamming caused by overheating in sustained firefights. My lad is an L7 gunner. He wouldn't have an M249/Minimi about him, except as a last resort.

Firearm transfer sheet.........

Oh. Never bought one. I figured there must be some sort of paperwork. This ad is from what appears to be a private personage in NH, so I would hope it's under the table.

oh, it should be above boards, just not on the gov'm't radar....IMO

So the yellow sheet doesn't get filed with anyone? I agree, btw. I see no need for any authority to know what I have or don't have.

I'm seriously geeking out on this video:

In the old days, the yellow sheet stayed with the gun shop until it closed, and then, they were supposed to give them to the BATF. One could walk into a gun shop and get the book and find everyone who bought guns.

Basically, you want a private transfer, not from a shop that does business in guns, as they do instant reporting, now.

That's good info, thanks. Even in VT we have Big Brother watching us.

What do you think of the crossbow?

I wondered if it was stolen too. He's also advertising a 10-22 dirt cheap. I'm sort of tempted to just buy all of them:
And I'm even more tempted by this Mossberg:

You won't find a Mossberg any cheaper than that. People losing their jobs or such tend to sell off the firearms for quick cash. Just run the serial numbers through your local PD if you do buy them.

I can't afford to buy anything right now, unfortunately. I can only hope you Republicans keep the economy in the toilet for a few more months.

At those prices, I doubt they are on the market too long. Then if Oblamer gets in again you won't be allowed to own any firearms any way.:)
